“You Aren’t Here” Rift 1
In the distance down the dark narrowly built corridor you can hear the grunts of a girl and quick repetitive thuds resembling the sound of boxing gloves to a body bag (punching bag).
“You aren’t here” she yells her voice followed quickly by a loud powerful thud seemingly shaking the very ceiling foundation the body bag is attached to.
“You left me in the past” she lands four more extremely fast blows, this time her fist engulf themselves in the dark foggy aura she knows as Shanoria (Shadow). “Alone” she yells upper cutting the once brand new now seemingly battered bronze colored body bag.
She leans against the bag fist still dug in the picture of a black diamond with “ELITE BOXING CLUB” written in white. The bag cowered and bent over her fist as though gasping for air.
Mirages head resting against the bag looking down, she calmly says “What do you want from me Orchid” “I’m doing my job, I’m looking for mom and dad.” She looks up at the flashing fluorescent light flickering off of her tear filled aqua colored eyes “WHAT?”
She closes her eyes thinking to her last time drift, just three days prior. Mirage was following other students she just met earlier to pocket D when everything turned white. She hears a faint yet familiar voice “What are you doing sis?” “Orchid” Mirage yelps with glee “Your back?” The white starts to become a little more translucent, giving Mirage more distance and peripheral to her eye sight.
She recognizes the area and quickly realizes that is wasn’t Orchid who had come back. She recognizes her robotic dog Tin-Tin, who her father gave her before his disappearance, who runs up to her giving her a robotic bark that seemed to echo slightly wagging its metal tail.
“What did you do Orchid?” Mirage asks anxious for an answer.
Orchid looks around and smiles “What do you think baby sis?” Orchids voice has that feminine raspy pitch to it, which was the only way to tell the two apart, before Orchid cut her hair to fit her not so girly-girl style.
“Stop calling me baby sis, you’re only like five minutes older than me” Mirage demands “Your right” Mirage says while looking around, she then stops looking and locks her eyes dead on Orchids “Why the hell did you bring me back to the future?”
Orchid smiles and shrugs “What? I can’t see my ba…” Orchid catches herself before she blurts out the word her sister just so nicely asked her not to call her “Sorry…sister.”
“You left me in the past two months ago…now, you want to see me?” Mirage asks
Orchid nods “Better late than never I always say.”
Mirage looks down and repeats what her sister has just told her, with sadness in her voice “Better late than never, is that the best that you can come up with…You didn’t miss me, because I missed you.” “I was alone Orchid” Mirage reveals “I finally got back into Saint Joe’s…and met a couple of people, I was on my way to pocket D before you rifted me.”
Orchid looks at her sister and says “Of course I missed you, you’re my sister, and I love you.” Orchid looks around “Look around Mirage, it’s just Tin-Tin and I, who else and I gonna fight with? He just doesn’t put up a fight like you.” Tin-Tin follows with that echoic bark “Hush Tin-Tin” Orchid adds. Tin-Tin sits and tilts his head almost like he is saying “What?” Orchid laughs “See what I mean?”
Mirage laughs “Leave my dog alone.”
Orchid reveals “I’m sorry I left you for so long…but with that RIFT agent after us, I had to take your beacon and leave, one of us had to stay and continue the mission, and I rather he chased me back to the future…You know that I will be back when I change the signals on the beacons.” “I’m also glad that you got back into Saint Joe’s, and I knew what and where you were going.” “That’s why I rifted you. Speaking of do any of them remember you?”
Mirage totally blanked out the rest of what Orchid said when she heard that one sentence “That’s why I rifted you.” Mirage yells, “I can’t believe you did that.” She continues to yell, “I was alone Orchid, I was meeting people, making friends, was actually gonna go out.” “No they don’t remember me, why do you think I have to make friends all over again.” “What if they think that I am some type of snob and stood them up.” Mirage thinks as Shanoria begins to take over a little more as she gets more and more anxious. “What if they don’t remember me because you RIFTED me back here.”Mirage asks Orchid, “Did you use the memory thingy.”
Orchid looks at Mirage “First Mirage, you might want to gain some control over that demoness of yours, I’d really hate to have to hurt you.”
Mirage answers back “We aren’t kids anymore Orchid, and I have gained a lot of control over Shanoria, she is just angry like I am at the moment, how about you just answer the question please.” “Did you use the memory thing?”
Orchid smiles “do you honestly think that I’m crazy…no I didn’t use the memory thingy…you have to stay in that school.” “They are the only ones that can help…If I used that; you would have to start over from square one.” Orchid rolls her eyes and turns away “Just don’t forget why you are there.” “It’s not to run around acting normal, having slumber parties, and getting boyfriends.” “It’s to find mom and dad.” She turns to look back at Mirage, who is now pulling the strings of shadow fog back. “You’re from the Future Saphy.” Orchid says “You’re not normal; you know all of their futures.” Mirage looks away “Whatever” she then looks back at Orchid “When are you sending me back.”
Orchid says “I was thinking three days in their future.”
“So I miss the date?” Mirage asks
“Yea, I’m sorry Mirage”
Mirage walks over to the rifter “I’m sure you are.”
Orchid looks down, then back to her sister, who is standing in the middle of three rings that are hovering around her, “When I change the signal on the beacon I’m coming…then you won’t be alone.”
Mirage slightly listens then says “Maybe then, I’ll get my Orchy back” looks up “send me back please.”
Everything in Mirages vision turns that familiar powder white.
Mirage opens her eyes still leaning against the body bag, fist embedded. “You’re still not here.” Mirage says voice shaking. Her left fist engulfs into the shadow fog, the she does a spinning back fist fully bending the bag over her left fist and forearm ripping open the opposite side sending sand all over the floor. “I will look for mom and dad, but I refuse to be friendless”
Mirage walks away from the bag grabbing her towel and gym bag and heads straight for the shower.

Re: Time Drift
“Weird Feeling” Rift 2
I stood there shivering frightened and anxious. “What’s wrong?” I thought, “What’s this, weird feeling?” My stomach empty, now oddly, a slight floating feeling came over me as the anxious sensation continued to grow. Then, instantly, nothing; just numbness.
“Shadow?” she doesn’t answer, that bothered me even more “Shanoria?” Still no answer, had she left me…”Sha-“ “It wasn’t me Mirage.” There she was, I sighed, relieved to hear her voice. She has been my everything lately. “Those were indeed not my emotions” she continued.
“Well, if that wasn’t you, then who” her eyes began to water, since the answer to her own question, she already knew. Thoughts rushed her mind, her emotions raged. Synchronized she and Shanoria spoke the same name, through the same lips “Orchid.”
“Go to her…”Shanoria spoke with slight hesitation astonished at her own words since she really never had pleasant feelings for Mirage’s twin. “She needs you Mirage” She added. Mirage stood there dumb founded eyes wide mouth slightly open. Almost like she saw something extremely out the ordinary. “Mira…did you hear me?” Shanoria shot the thought to her. “Mirage?!” Shanoria began to grow restless.
“Dammit girl…answer me!” Tears began to flow down Mirage’s face as she stood there in suspension, still staring off. Her voice slowly crept out, shaky and low, rather shy and scared. Like the first time she told her friends at Saint Joe’s about the sharp tongued demoness that dwelled in her “I…I ca…can’t” “what!? She’s your sister” Shouted Shanoria. “I…I know, Sha…nor…ria” sobbed Mirage, fear and cowardice gripping her body as she fell to her knees. “She’s stronger than I am” “what could I…possibly do. Whoever is giving her trouble will destroy me.” She cries.
“What if…” Mirage runs an image of Hellz Reign through her mind, which sends a cold chill down her spine, similar to the chill she got so long ago when her mother revealed her father’s dark secret to her, Orchid and her brother Drago. She slams her eyes closed, throwing her face into her hands shaking her head hysterically trying to shake the image of her father. “No, no, no…I can’t do it!” she cries blasting shadow fog in every direction, it sweeping over her floor and furniture, mainly sticking low to the floor like someone turned on a fog machine.
Mirage gasps "I know its him, I can feel it." “I’m too scared” she screams. Suddenly light bulbs in her lamps and across her ceiling begin to burst, shining bright light with a slight electrical hum, all one by one. Her facet in at her kitchen sink breaks off spraying water out everywhere and up towards the ceiling. Mirage slowly lifts her face from her hands. Her now purplish-blue face moist from tear residue looks around the living room and into the kitchen, shocked at the destruction that just happened.
“Sha-“ “That sure as hell wasn’t me” Shanoria interrupts. Mirage thinks, that couldn’t have been me, when did I get my own powers. “I’m just too scared Shadow” she repeats “He is there, I can feel it.” “Fine” Shanoria snaps. “Then WE will go” “Wha-“, Mirage is interrupted as she gasps for air similar to the gasp that a swimmer takes when emerging from the deep end after being under water for a while. She catches her breath. Her eyes change color as a voice escapes her lips “I am so disappointed in you Mira.” Shanoria has full control over Mirage now “If you’re too scared to go and help her…” she closes her eyes taking a breath before finishing “I will make you go.” She throws her right arm to the side. Dark fog begins to materialize about a foot away from her fingertips, flashes of golden light dancing within the fog. The fog collapses on itself imploding then exploding into a golden window shrouded in fog, on the other side, The Future.

Re: Time Drift
“Weird Felling” Rift 2 (Orchid's Side)
(THIS IS ORCHIDS SIDE OF WHATS GOING ON WHILE MIRAGE IS HAVING HER WEIRD FEELINGS) (I GUESS IT WOULD BE IN ORDER TO SAY THAT, THIS IS NOT...RATED PG)
Orchid walks out of the kitchen, stuffing something resembling a chicken drumstick into her mouth. She pulls down her blast goggles as she walks into the rift room, hard rock blasting in the background; she walks over to a work bench. She begins fidgeting around with small tech that is laid out on the table before taking a huge bite out of the chicken leg. She catches it as it falls from her mouth and places it on a plastic blue plate, chewing steadily before swallowing her food.
She blows out air. “Almost finished with your beacon Mirage, then I will be one step closer to coming back.” She looks down both hands placed firmly on the table. She exhales “I miss you sis.” Tin-tin jumps up onto the table, greeting Orchids hand with his cold metal nose. Orchid looks over at the metal puppy and giggles “Hey buddy boy, you know…you sure do know how to be sweet sometimes, when you aren’t chewing on my thermal cutters or destroying the couch.” She follows rubbing her hand down his metallic back.
She sighs “well, let’s start pup” “give me the uh” she thinks for a bit studying the dime sized triangular object that lay in front of her. “The extra small tool set, honestly a couple of small tweaks should do the trick” she exclaims. She looks over to Tin-tin “K…that’s what I need Tin.” The dog answers with a bark as his back opens up, launching a small rectangular shaped block about a foot into the air, higher than himself. Orchid catches it about midway as it begins to fall. She looks at tin-tin and winks “thanks pup.”
She flicks open one of the tools on the device and begins to start working on it.
Time goes by, eventually she sighs, putting the tool off to the side, lifting up her blast goggles. “Done” she looks over to the puppy “I think” she picks up a gadget that looks similar to a watch. She places it on her wrist and begins pressing buttons on it. “Well tin…let’s see if the new signal works with the locater.” She presses one button as the locater on her wrist begins to make a long tone similar to the pitch of a flat-line. She closes her eyes in disbelief, lips slightly breaking apart as she utters the words “Dammit.”
She looks over to Tin-tin “well…looks like it’s back to the drawing board” suddenly the continuously steady pitched hum breaks with a double beep “beep-beep” then it goes back to the monotone straight-through hum. “You hear that…” tin-tin barks in return to the question she just asked. “Come on…come on” Orchid mumbles anxious for an answer. “Beep for me you bastard…she needs me” she says, her mind now focused totally on Mirage.
She begins to grow restless. Orchid closes her eyes “Dammit…dammit…F***” she yells punching the table in front of her breaking off a nice sized chunk of metal. Tin-tin begins to growl, he stances up, as though sizing up an enemy before attacking.
Orchid looks at the puppy shocked at his actions…he’s usually a passive little guy. “It’s ok tin…I’m not going to hurt you…I was just a little” she looks at the chunk of metal lying on the floor “Angry…I’m not gonna hurt you pup.” Tin-tin looks at Orchid still growling as his eyes turn red he barks again. Orchid jumps, but tin-tin doesn’t attack her, just scans the area seemingly searching and waiting for something. “What’s wrong tin-tin?” he growls more, the tone of it getting deeper. He begins to bark hysterically as he transforms into a larger robotic form of himself.
Orchid looks at him “well that’s new” her eyes follow the contour of the new tin-tins body, which resembles the muscle structure of a full grown pit-bull. His outer metallic shell more smooth and form flowing, less bulky like it was when he was smaller. Still his color remained mercury.
A plate on the front quad of both of his shoulders slide down, revealing three metallic points, which Orchid could only make out to be missiles “Didn’t expect that one either.” Suddenly her alarms blare --INTRUDER ALERT--followed by her power going out. She hears continuous beeps, she looks down at her locater “so…now you want to work.” “You gotta be shittin’ me” tin-tin lets out a deep roar, as Orchid pulls down her blast goggles, pressing buttons which allow her to see with night vision. “Get ready tin…looks like we have some visitors.” Orchid says, excited to finally get some action “It’s about time” she says taking one of her many known martial arts stances “This is gonna be fun.”
Her windows shatter as the unannounced guests break through and into her home. Her front door splintering open as more intrude. The advance towards her, she notices as they come her way that they are also wearing night vision eyewear. “Hey tin…flash ‘em” she says hoping he has a luminary device somewhere in that hi-tech upgrade. He barks this deep ground shaking bark that boomed. Orchid knew what that meant. She grabbed the forearm of the first attacker, twisting her body to wear her hips are against his. She turns her head away, flipping up her goggles with her eyes closed tightly. The luminary device goes off, igniting the room as though the sun itself had been dropped smack in the middle. The intruders scream revealing the torture their eyes are going through.
Orchid begins to count “5…4…3…2…1” she opens her eyes, the room still slightly illuminated. She looks at the intruder she is holding who is using his free hand to rub his eyes. “You picked the wrong day to F*** with me.”
She pulls him into herself lifting her knee into his mid-section, causing him to cower over her thigh. She steps back quickly and just as fast launches herself forward upper cutting him, taking him off of his feet.
Orchid launches forward at the other one spinning on the ball of her right foot kicking him back out the window with her left. She moves to the next one who is swinging wildly. She blocks and dodges his attempts to hit her, grabbing his arm, spinning into him elbowing him in the face. She breaks his arm over her shoulder, and then kicks him in the knee snapping it in the opposite direction, the man screams out in pain. “You shouldn’t have come here.” she says calmly.
She launches through the rest like a hot knife through butter, as anger and rage begin to take over. “You’re holding me back from my sister” she yells, holding the last intruder by the collar. Tin-tin walks to her side red smeared across his metallic snout and talons.
Orchid looks at her prisoner as tin-tin growls. “Who sent you” she yells. The intruder laughs “answer me” he continues to laugh. “Soon…you will find out.”
Suddenly an invisible force pushes the two apart. Throwing the intruder out the window and launching Orchid back into her work bench, screaming out in pain as she hit it.
Tin-tin lunges forward at the entity, biting something as he seemed to hang their moving his head back and forth in an attempt to rip whatever it was to shreds. Suddenly sparks fly from tin-tin as part half of his body flies to one end of the room, the rest flying over the area Orchid is at, right over her head.
She follows the body wide eyed “Tin-tin…NOOOOOO” She cries slamming her eyes shut as tears streamed down her blue face. She drops her head; then is quickly thrown back against the work bench. Orchid grabs onto something, but nothings there. “What are you” She asks eyes full of tears. “It’s funny how fast you forget about me…Aurora” he says calmly as the cloaking system slowly drops. “So…Where’s Sapphire…Princess” “Daddy?”

Re: Time Drift
“Weird Feeling” Rift 2 Continued:
(OOC: Hopefully this doesn't anger anyone, or make any stomachs turn. Its not too bad, but I think it shows a side of Mirage that no one expected, also a side of Shanoria that no one expected. The whole write up was Mirage is drivin by emotion, so it causes things im not going to spoil. Read it and enjoy. If you think i went to far, PM me, and I will edit what need to be edited.)
A murky cloud charges out of nothing into the chaotic room. No signs of any life, golden lightning revolving around the cloud. The cloud stream stops mid way in the room. Opening to reveal a window that Mirage steps through. Well Mirage’s form, but the driver of her body was Shanoria.
She looked around the room, standing there defensively and somewhat offensive. She was ready for what ever could and may happen.
“Shanoria, what happened here?” “Where’s my sister?” I asked mentally, my mind racing thinking the worst. Somewhere inside trying to push thoughts of something good, maybe she got away.
“I don’t know Mira” she spoke through my lips. “I was with you remember, why don’t you tell me what happened.”
“Me” I thought, how was I gonna do that, I’m no psychic. Did she forget I had no powers? “How am I supposed to do that Shadow?” “Remember, no powers?”
“You ARE dumber than you look” she retorted, “Think girl…the kitchen, the portal…hell the nightmare combo that you and Watchpoint came up with.” “I had nothing to do with that, those…all of that, was you.”
I don’t know, maybe she was just trying to make me feel better…or, maybe useful, because at that moment, I felt as useless as a non-alcoholic beverage at an AA meeting. “I don’t have powers Shanoria…I never have.” Actually the thought of me having powers excited me, just the thought of her telling me that I had my own. Well, that just hurt. I felt like she was mocking me, and it made me think more about Orchid, because I know that I couldn’t have done a damn thing to help her.
She sighed “The day you realize your own potential will be the day you become ten times stronger that what you are now.” “Until then, look for your sister, find a clue.” “I’ll be here to save the day when you bitch up.”
She then unhanded possession of me, that transaction feels different each time, from feeling microwaved, to the way that it felt now; having a bucket of ice cold water with ice cubes in it dumped on me unexpectedly on a hot 108 degree day. Even still, her words dug in me like a butcher’s knife, penetrating my ribs in an ill fit way of dismembering my heart from my body.
Now that I had control over my body again I could walk around and get a better view of the area.
This place was horrible, glass on the floor; Orchids work bench broken and lying on the floor. Blaster marks on the wall, holes in the walls also, and windows shattered. Her whole front door was splintered open, and in the middle of the room, almost dead center was a black char mark that spread out like a star burst.
“What the hell is this?” I say kneeling down extending my right hand forward to touch it. I rub the soot between my index, middle finger and thumb.
“Yea, there was definitely some kind of war here Shadow.” I calmly say as I look around the room. My voice, I can calm that, my emotions; that’s another story in itself, their racing. Anxiousness, anger and fear, that’s what I’m feeling at the moment “What if she didn’t get away?” I mutter.
“Keep looking Mira” that was Shanoria’s resolve to this. “You never know until you look” She emphasized on “look” was she talking about my “powers” again.
“Yea…ok Sha” I answer back.
I continued to look around the room, hoping to find a clue or something. Or, was I really trying to “look”,like Shanoria prompted me to. I snickered and shook my head at the thought, “Look at me, she has me believing I have my own powers” I mumble.
As I turn my head to the right my eye catches a slight flash. “What was that?” I walk over into the direction pushing a chair that had been knocked over out of my path. I stop at the destination; a piece of the wall in front of me that had been displaced lay there covering the object that caught my attention. I kneeled down and gripped the ends of it and began to stand, lifting the hunk of plaster off of the target.
Once I moved it out of the way I looked down, noticing the metallic K-9 looking figure that lay there. As I scanned the body I noticed it was missing its entire back sector. All that was there was its upper body.
Naturally, I didn’t recognize it, but I knew who it was, as I began to kneel down beside him. I felt warm wetness run down my face “tin-tin…who did this to you boy.” My voice shook, seeing my dog lying there like that, dead, or offline if you want to be robotic, that made me believe that Orchid may have been too.
“Shanoria, this is bad” I say, as I place my hands onto my dog lifting him to my lap, "This is really, really ba-" I stopped there mid word, starring straight ahead. Starring at nothing, but then, at something, as visions flooded my mind. I was seeing everything that went on. I was seeing everything, what was this? Did I tap into another one of Shanoria’s powers or, was this truly one of my own.
I broke out of the trance as I took a long gasp for air, dropping tin back to the ground. “What did you see Mira?”
I didn’t want to answer her because this scared the hell out of me, but instead I spit out the answer. “They came for her.”
“Who?” Shanoria asked “The Rift Agency?”
“No” I answered quickly as I stumbled yet some what crawled over to my sisters work bench. I reached out to move it aside; instead it launched forward rolling side over side through the air finally slamming into the wall on the other side of the room. I stopped and starred at the work bench in disbelief, I didn’t even touch it. What was that I asked myself as my memory reflected back to the incident at my apartment “No way!?”
I regained my mind as I looked down to the ground in front of me, there it was, just like in the vision. The beacon tracker Orchid made to test the new signals on our beacons, it looked similar to a watch.
Something was missing though “What are you looking for Mira?”
“The beacon” suddenly my mind flashes relapse of the vision I saw earlier, I smile “She has it”
“She has what, the beacon?” Shanoria asks “Where is she Mira, who has her?”
I slap the beacon tracker around my wrist, as anger gripped my body “Arachnos” I answer.
“What”
“And my dad…my dad took her.”
Silence fell on the tongues of us both as I still kneeled on the floor facing the wall in front of me, my eyes lightly closed.
Our silence was broken as I heard the floor creak behind me. I quickly open my eyes as the creak turned into footsteps that quickly headed towards the blown out window on the other side of the room. I throw my right arm out to the side, slightly slanted behind me and subconsciously without even realizing it I tap into those new powers again stopping the invader dead in their tracks.
I slowly come to my feet, one foot before the other, bringing my right arm back down to my side as I turn around to face them. I lift my arm in the air picking him up off of the ground. Then I turn him to face me. Inside this new power still scares the hell out of me. Just now, it is so seductive, and I like it, this new world that I am tapping into.
I tilt my head slightly to the left as I speak to him. “You work for my father don’t you?” He doesn’t answer me; instead he turns his head away from me, since he only has control from the neck up.
“K…no answer?” I say calmly, “Here’s an easier question, where’s my sister?” He remains facing away from me, so I lift up my left arm gaining control over his head, turning his face towards mines. It was like what ever I thought I could make him do, this power, it was so…seductive, it was so strong, he tried to fight it, but…he couldn’t.
“Let’s try this again.” My anger starting to rise. Even though Orchid and I fight a lot, I love her and no one messes with my family. “My sister…where is she?” I yell as the shadow fog started to reveal itself. I can even feel Shanoria growing impatient with this guy.
His lips slowly break to a smile “She’s not here right now, but when I see her ill be sure to let her know you dropped by.”
This guy wants to be a smart-ass “Ok smart-ass” I step towards him placing my right hand on his chest, almost as tender as a girl would when she’s greeting her boyfriend right before they hug. My hand illuminates in blue, and then I pull a small amount of energy from him. Not a lot, just enough to make him lose his breath.
“Stop it Mira” Shanoria’s voice breaks forward.
I pulled my hand away, feeling that maybe I went too far since she was the one telling me to stop. “Ok.”
He’s still breathing hard but regaining his breath as his head is tilted down. He mumbles something under his breath.
I ask him again “Where is my sister?”
He looks up at me. “It doesn’t matter, Hellz Reign has her, and you are never going to see her again until he is ready for you two to meet.”
Out of pure anger I wrap my tail around his throat ripping him out of the air slamming his back into the wall behind me. The wall caving slightly as cracks spider-web outward, I pin him there.
I turn to face him, my tail still around his neck. As I turn, this heat comes over me, this weird body heat I have never felt before. I feel my body start to change physically, as I grow two sets of fangs, one on my upper row of teeth, one on the bottom. My heart pounding as my nails grow four inches to a sharp point. My eyes a bright red, my hair begins to turn white as it extends down my back. The transformation ends with my skin turning black as night, the birthmark Orchid and I share on our left eye in the form of a star, stays red. “Where did he take her?” I yelled, but I noticed, my voice was darker than ever before.
The man looks at me in fear, “What…what the hell are you?” his voice shakes.
“What am I?” I answer as a slight fang revealing smirk breaks across my face “I…I am the Shadow Demoness herself.” My answer followed with the beacon tracker locking on to my beacon that Orchid has in her possession, with its repetitive beeps. “And you…you are no longer of use.”
As I unwrapped my tail from his throat I could hear Shanoria’s voice in my head yelling “NO.” I launched my left fist forward jabbing him in the chest, pushing through. I could hear and feel his armor crack under my knuckles.
“Stop Mira, you’re tapping into my dark side.” I could still hear Shanoria yell…but it sounded farther away from me.
I tried to fight the darkness, but it was too late as I felt his sternum cave in around my fist his heart exploding behind it.
The form I just acquired dissipates slowly from head to toe, revealing the old me, my fist still buried in his chest.
I gasp hysterically jumping back away from the man. I fall to my knees in shock at what I just did, bursting into tears. That, couldn’t of been me. “Shanoria, what did I do?” I yelled at the top of my lungs.
She answered “You let your anger and hatred take over, tapping into the side of me I’m trying to change, the side I’m running away from.” “My dear, you just tapped into pure evil.”
Shocked at her answer, I had nothing to say. I just buried my face into my hands and continued to cry.

Re: Time Drift
"Aftermath"
In a dark, high tech room multiple screens displayed on a wall, loop the same image, the image of Mirage in the home of her sister Orchid slamming Hellz Reign’s soldier into the wall with her tail. With that scene complete the footage time jumps to her in her new form punching a hole through his chest.
“Time, it has a funny way of creating something out of nothing.” A voice echoes out of the darkness. “Given enough time a being or civilization could evolve into an infrastructure thousands of times stronger than its predecessor.” “Not given enough time, that same being or civilization could cease to exist, endangering itself into extinction, or it could not even fathom itself into the realm of existence."
The bearer of the voice reveals himself stepping out of the shadows into the medium glow of the monitors. “Given the perfect amount of time, an actual infinite amount, with the display of pressed time, you get this” referring to the individual on the screens being recycled over and over again.
“Dear daughter, my, have you grown.” The man says smiling “would you agree Orchid, hasn’t your sister grown.” He says while turning to a ball that’s filled with water, Orchid was also in the ball with wires and cables extending from different points on her body to the bottom of the sphere. A mask covered her nose and mouth which seemed to be manufactured to allow her to breath in that situation; also she wore an ear bud in each ear. Her short purple hair danced in the water as she slowly buoyed up and down. Her shirt and shorts also moved slightly with the current. Orchid’s eyes slowly broke apart to see Hellz Reign standing in front of her.
“Well…are you going to answer me Aurora?” He taunts with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shadow fog erupted into the room, a golden aura flickering in the stream as golden lightning angrily shot back and forth from it.
This time it exploded abruptly into the golden door, knocking over stands and end tables, pushing the couch out of the way and causing the water that lay on the floor from the previous incident to slightly ripple up and wave out.
Wind gusts also swirled throughout the room, knocking over what hadn’t already been knocked over and sending loose papers, pictures and what ever else spiraling through the air. Mirage slowly emerged from the portal, head lowered and arms hanging to her sides, her long purple hair flowed with the air gusts.
The portal quickly snapped closed causing wind to shoot from behind her pushing her forward slightly, causing her hair to blast forward over her shoulders. Slowly Mirage walked to the wall in front of her, turning, placing her back to the wall, she slides down to the floor, grabbing her legs and pulling them tightly into her chest placing her chin on her knee-caps and closing her eyes.
“Mira” Shadow breaks forward, her voice chiming low in my mind, somewhat an attempt at being comforting. That was just it though; Shanoria hadn’t been used to the “words of comfort” part of being a mentor. “Your first kill is never easy.” “The more you kill the better it will get, it will become second nature.”
“Well that’s comforting.”
Shanoria sighed “Well, I said what I thought would help.”
“That’s Apparent.”
“Ok, fine, screw the sympathy…stop being a child, and get the hell over it.” Shadow harped at me; I guess I pissed her off the way I shot her down.
“Not now Sha, I really don’t want to argue” I snapped back as a tear rolled down my cheek.
“Well, don’t…just listen.” “You can’t sit here and cry about this, your fight is different…there will be casualties.” “You Mirage need to grow up, Orchid had the right idea, she knew what kind of a fight it was, and you…you’re too generous.” “She was willing to kill, you are-.”
I had to interrupt her; she went too far comparing me to my sister, “SHUTUP!” “I don’t want to be a killer Shanoria, you should understand this, aren’t you the one that’s trying to change.” “Aren’t you the one trying to prove that you aren’t a soul sucker?”
“I do understand, and yes, that is what I am trying to prove.” “That’s why I’m trying to help you grasp the fact that sometimes you my have to hurt someone…or kill them and when you do, you have to keep moving.” “If you continue to suppress the reality, you are going to release that demon again and have no say in the matter…and neither will I.”
I continued to sit there with my face buried in my knees silently crying. “Mira” Shanoria, echoed in my mind, since I didn’t really react to the statement that she just made.
“I’ve lost everything because of him.” “He took everything from me.” The tears continued to flow down my face and sighed “My mother, my brother, Orchid…my humanity, look what he made me do Shanoria.” “A father doesn’t do that to his children.” I heard my voice break.
“Your right, a father doesn’t do things like this to his child.” “He did do horrible things, killing your mother and brother.” “We don’t know what has happened to Orchid, but that’s why I said what I said earlier, not to mention you need to learn how to use your new powers at will…not by emotion, that leaves too much open.” “I’m here for you Mira; he hasn’t taken everything from you.”
I smiled at what she told me “See…that, was comforting.” After saying that I could feel Shanoria’s warmth pour through me.
“Just remember that Mira.”
“Shanoria” I asked “What was she?”
“She was the Shadow Demoness…she wasn’t me.” Shanoria answered.
“She wasn’t you?” I thought
“Not the me that I am now, I pushed that side away.” Shanoria said “You do believe me right?”
My mind raced, I knew Shanoria wanted to change, her dark side still lingered though, and I bought it out. Because of my emotion, I brought out something that neither of us could control. Now there’s three separate parts to me. Guess I’m a certified skits’ now.
“Mira” Shanoria’s voice gently pierced my thoughts.
“I believe you Sha.” “Whatever it was, it was powerful…I hate not being in control.” “I don’t want to feel her again.” Deep down though, was this truth that I was telling myself.
“Then we have some work to do.” She proclaimed “There is more that you can learn to the powers that I have lent you, your main focus though is to grasp your emotions…gain control, you have noticed the outcome if you lose it.” “Then of course, your powers, once again the emotion control plays a part.” “You need to learn how to use them at will, not just when you get excited.”
“Ok” my voice crept out. I looked around the room at the mess and destruction “I can’t believe this was me, I can’t be here, I have to find a new place.”
“Well, there is the nice quad you were issued at Saint Joe’s”
“Yea…maybe it is time I moved in.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Orchid was fully awake now, punching and kicking the sphere in an attempt to free herself. Unfortunately it just left her fist and feet hurting and not even a hairline in the glass.
Her father smiled, “You’ve been doing that for an hour…It’s not going to work Aurora.” “If you weren’t, so damn weak, maybe.”
Orchid answered her father in the most expected manner, raising her middle finger and surely smirking behind the mask as air bubbles escaped from it.
Her father laughed “Feisty…you definitely get that from you mother.”
Orchid’s eyes flashed a bright pink at the mention of her mother. She kicked the glass again, this time cracking it, causing water to stream out the other side. The machine the sphere was linked to begins to wail, giving warning of depressurization and water leakage.
Hellz Reign looked at his daughter semi shocked, but delighted. “Our strongest Brute couldn’t even break that…and look at you.” “This will determine it all.” He looks over at the screen with Mirage on display then back at Orchid who is no longer floating in the sphere but standing, tearing the mask off of her face as the water sits at her waist. He smiles “Who will be my apprentice?”

“Your right, a father doesn’t do things like this to his child.” “He did do horrible things, killing your mother and brother.” “We don’t know what has happened to Orchid, but that’s why I said what I said earlier, not to mention you need to learn how to use your new powers at will…not by emotion, that leaves too much open.” “I’m here for you Mira; he hasn’t taken everything from you.”
I smiled at what she told me “See…that, was comforting.” After saying that I could feel Shanoria’s warmth pour through me.
“Just remember that Mira.”
“Shanoria” I asked “What was she?”
“She was the Shadow Demoness…she wasn’t me.” Shanoria answered.
“She wasn’t you?” I thought
“Not the me that I am now, I pushed that side away.” Shanoria said “You do believe me right?”
My mind raced, I knew Shanoria wanted to change, her dark side still lingered though, and I bought it out. Because of my emotion, I brought out something that neither of us could control. Now there’s three separate parts to me. Guess I’m a certified skits’ now.
“Mira” Shanoria’s voice gently pierced my thoughts.
“I believe you Sha.” “Whatever it was, it was powerful…I hate not being in control.” “I don’t want to feel her again.” Deep down though, was this truth that I was telling myself.
“Then we have some work to do.” She proclaimed “There is more that you can learn to the powers that I have lent you, your main focus though is to grasp your emotions…gain control, you have noticed the outcome if you lose it.” “Then of course, your powers, once again the emotion control plays a part.” “You need to learn how to use them at will, not just when you get excited.”
“Ok” my voice crept out. I looked around the room at the mess and destruction “I can’t believe this was me, I can’t be here, I have to find a new place.”
“Well, there is the nice quad you were issued at Saint Joe’s”
“Yea…maybe it is time I moved in.”
