Tamesis wandered along the streets of Atlas Park, her school uniform was covered in smudge marks and tears. Her head still hung low in an slight slouch that made her seem unfriendly. Dirty blond hair seemed slightly stuck in the tiny ice spikes that came out of her forehead. She kicked a rock which flew a few blocks smoking a Hellion in the head, which in response looked around in confusion and ran off. The sun was setting, usually this meant Tam should go home, but she didn’t.
Tam glazed angrily at the setting sun. Her icy brown ices spoke of sleeplessness and frustration. She didn’t want to go home and she didn’t want to sleep on the streets again. Tamesis was certain that her parents must of contacted the school about her disappearance from the school. But no one seemed to come looking for her. She’d seen Mana maybe once. Leaping up high to vent her anger, she leaped with her eyes closed and bounded into the sunset.
Why doesn’t anyone like me!
Another leap.
Why do they break their promises to me!
Another leap.
Why can’t I hang out with anyone!
Tam bit her lip bitter thinking about her mother.. as she took off she cracked it with the shock against her jaw.
Why can’t I have skin..
She leaped extremely hard with her next thought
Why can’t I just be normal!
The human ice form flew threw the evening air and mist around her cooled the air leaving a comet trail. Tam allowed the air to flow around her offering her freedom from unseen chains which soon reclaimed their grip as she fell back towards the ground. She landed among the trees with a thud. Tam checked her freshly chipped lip with a trace of her finger tips. The extremely cold blue fluid that ran in her veins had already repaired the missing ice from her lip. The blue fluid that threatened to steal her life once… Tam opened her eyes finally and made a fist once she saw her location.
She’d jumped back to St. Joe’s.
She wandered in the open gates remembering some the events that had passed by while she was still there only a few months ago. Pain flashed threw her mind as the boy Glacial Mass who claimed once that he was ice like she was. Who claimed he would try and help her learn to regain her skin but never did. He was off enjoying a normal life with his boyfriend Eric… Traveling the world, seeing places Tam wish she could go see. Tam bitterly looked away from the football field and stormed off.
Soon she found her self in front of the girl’s dorm rooms. A place she never got to go. A place Tam never was invited to go with any of the other girls to chat and share stories. No one ever talked to me here.. Tam felt the start of an bitter sweet ice tear forming on her eye. Not even Stasis.. The one girl that had almost the exactly same powers as Tam, but she had it all including skin. Envy filled the girl as she pictured Stasis smug smile on her face. That extremely pretty smile, normal colored skin, tall, thin… a loved one that cares about her. In frustration Tam bent over and chucked a rock at the dorm rooms. It bounced off the stone building with a crack.
“Damn it! Why can’t I be like everyone else…”
Tam fell down in the grass and started to weep. A small pile of scattered ice tears littered her school uniform.
