Finding a Good Home (Semi-Open Inquire First)

Post by Glowing Vigilance »

This is an RP between Merin and myself, anyone who;s interested in lending hand is welcome, but please tell me before jumping in. *Thumbs*

----

Summer, journalist, was on her way to the principals office. Her reasons were easy, she'd've told you if you asked. There were two innocnet people caught up in something, she wasn't sure what, but whatever it was, it was big and it required she do something. The two innocent souls were Merin and Silme Genoell. Her and Merin had bonded and formed a sisterly relationship, mainly cause Summer though the cute little girl was alone for a long time till she revealed her sister. She also told Summer that she'd lived in a box and the two had finally gotten an apartment for themselves. Now, Summer is walking down the hallway and marching into the principal's office to dicuss terms of Merin and Silme moving into a quad due to Merin being a student and these two not having to suffer another day in some dankish apartment.

Summer sat down, her gaze was calm, but hid an underlying ferocity. Principal Winston spun in his chair looked Summer in the eyes.

"I'm reading your Paper, its quite astonding a student your age, writing things like this. You should be on our school newspaper, you might do something good with it." Winston said.

Summer crossed her arms, "I'm not here about my Paper, Sir. I'm here about a current student in a finacial crisis that's possibly life threatening and requires your immediate attention. I refuse to leave until this matter is resolved here and now."

Winston put his fingers together, "That tone isn't nessecary Miss Aeon."

"Call me Summer, Aeon leaves a bad taste in my mouth still."

"Summer."

"Her name is Merin Genoell, her sister, Silme is working to pay off their apartment and send Merin to this school. I know most of its not my business, but these two girls are under enough stress as I think they left their homes due to a serious conflict that may be life threatening."

Winston kept his silence as Summer continued, "I wish, that they be approved for a Quad here in Saint Joespehs to live on, with free tuition due to these circumstances."

"Absolutely not."

"May I ask why?" Summer said.

"You may." He replied, "They will not be given a place to live and free tuituon just because they're having a financial crisis. You lack proof that these two left their home, the only thing you even have remotely in fact is that she's a student here."

Summer looked down at the desk, "Please." She begged, "No one needs to suffer this."

"Summer, you're here because you are a refugee and a minor. Obviously this bigger sister is not and thus she can sustain the two on her own." He objected.

"That doesn't mean its humane!" Summer argued, "The girl had to sleep in a box! For all I know, if they don't make rent, they'll be sleeping in a box again! I've seen poverty Mr. Winston. I've watched what normal people, kids even, do to bums. I've seen what happens to people."

"That doesn't sway me, Miss. Absolutely not."

"Then I will pay for their tution, their room and board with my own money." Summer countered.

"You couldn't even if you wanted to Miss."

"No, before I left on academic leave, I had a premonition to put money on some stocks. When I came back, the 600 dollars I invested grew to a substantial 24,293 dollars and 5 cents. Without a doubt, this money will cover the board, the food, the tutition with little trouble. I'll sign the stocks over to SJS and have them funnel money into the schools account without any trouble."

"Can you see where these stocks will go in the future?"

"Not anymore than a weather pattern. You read my article. I got rid of my power. I'm no longer a mutant. I'm simply a girl who was expriemented on and now I'm the benifactor of two girls who're trying to make due."

Summer stood up, "I believe the nessecary paper work may be filled out quickly." She set a card down on his desk, "That's the stocks. Sell them quick, I dunno how much longer they'll stay capped."

"I hate to sound like I'm commanding, but I'd like it iff Merin and Silme are in a dorm before Finals in two weeks. I'll leave you to your work. Good day Mr. Winston."

Summer, walked out of the office. Now was simply to wait and see how this began to fold out. God speed there were able to move in ASAP as she couldn't bare to think of Merin sleeping in a box. She thought of her like a sister and Merin thought of Summer as a sister, that alone would be worth fighting for this.
