Drastic Measures ((open))

Post by Winged Siren »

Siren was ready to take drastic action to return Pu-244, or Pluto, back to the arms of the students of Saint Joesphs School. Siren's form darts across the lawn of the School to a pile of books strewn adjacent to the Wingra Tree, and a shallow basin of flaming oil casts eeiree shadows across the lawn. She holds a book, chanting words from a lost language as the flames rise higher than the amount of oil should allow. With a final word, there is a blinding flash of light that snuffs out the flame-and she is gone. In her place is a swirling vortex, a portal to parts unknown. It offers a dim unatural glow, and has an uneasy feel of death and doom.

Siren stands in the place she belives she can find the soul of her friend, Pluto, a place of gloom, and grey, of death and dying. Surrounded by the souls of the dead, Siren stands on the banks of the river Styx. She shuffles through the spirits, and appproches the ferryman, to begin her journey. She shivers, both from the oppresive cold of the air, and from her fear, of what lies within this dreaded place.

Siren shivers upon the banks of the river, waiting as the ferryman- Charon approaches her in his decript boat. She thrusts a handful of quarters towards him, as he cocks his head in hesitation.
"It is still money!" She snaps, and with a silent shrug, Charon's bony hand closes over the coins. She steps carefully into the rickety boat and begins her lurching, cold, dark journey into the depths of hades.

She sits in the boat for a long while- losing track of how long she has been here, losing feeling in her limbs from the cold. She cowers as they float past the snarling Cerberus, and a mask of grim determination sets upon her face as the shore becomes clear.

I will get Pluto back.
No matter the cost.
