Re: SJS Clubs, Teams & Organizations (Work In Progress)
I could see Luke joining Fencing. Luke has some experience, as he's been in private schools most of his life.
Luke: "Hey, I've got some standards for girls."
Franky: "What, two legs?"
Luke: "Nah, two nice legs."
Franky: "What, two legs?"
Luke: "Nah, two nice legs."

James would actually be interested in Archery Club, it's always useful to be able to use a weapon.
Re: SJS Clubs, Teams & Organizations (Work In Progress)
Hm....is there a version of an Honors Society/Beta Club? Mal has excellent grades, and would definitely be a part of that. Also, Scholar's Bowl/Quiz Bowl/whatever that's called?
I'm almost thinking Mal is in the band. However, beyond the acoustic guitar, I doubt he has any musical talent. Not that that stopped me.

Re: SJS Clubs, Teams & Organizations (Work In Progress)
Diego is in an unusual situation in that, "last" school year he was unable to play sports and participated in no clubs (as reflected in his 2007-2008 annuus entry), whereas starting "this" school year this will change drastically. So....Diego will join soccer, swimming, track&field, and fencing club.
"Last" and "this", of course, being fine for the moment but subject to the vagaries of wonky time.

Brain Bowl/Academic Decathlon! Good call, Mal. I'll add it. There's a Science Bowl, and the National Honor Society. Let me know about the band.

Re: SJS Clubs, Teams & Organizations (Work In Progress)
While I have no characters that would fit in this group, I would gladly make an NPC as a contact point and get this off the ground. I was on the colorguard in high school. It was kind of my life for five months out of the year. I played the clarinet just to be in the band to get on colorguard. I was captain my senior year! Okay, you get the point.Blitzen wrote:Color Guard - The SJS Color Guard is a non-musical section which works in conjunction with the school's marching band. RP Opportunities: An alternate to Cheerleading, good choice for students who enjoy dancing. Uniforms can be designed, stories RP'd on the board or discussed IC.

Anyway, let me know!

Re: SJS Clubs, Teams & Organizations (Work In Progress)
Violet's been in the yoga club, "Sun Salutations" since she came to SJS, and she's not interested in a leadership role, but I, as a player, would be happy to be the contact point for that. It probably won't be more than an RP device for flavor, though. She would also be in the orchestra if we have one. First violin FTW.
Tony's busy and not a clubby guy, but he'll join the Literary Society. I might as well head that up, too.
Scarlett plays field hockey as a sweeper. I would really like to see that go somewhere as a counterpart to Cheer Squad.
I think that's it.
