She sits alone , high up on the edge of a bridge in Founders Falls. Watching the marina nearby , as the small boats come in to dock.
" I bet once this was a great place to live , before the crey came " she thinks to herself.
A cool breeze blows thru her long dark hair and she tilts her head slightly to allow the brush of air against her skin. Like someones hands lightly running thier fingers across her neck. Little goosebumps form as she thinks about it. How did it happen? How could it have happened? And why didn't she seem to want to pretend it didn't?
She raises herself to a standing position , Her small petite form glides swiftly into the air and turns enroute to Talos Isle. Maybe Cricket will be in Pocket D . Maybe they can talk about things.
Kali focuses on the journey thru Founders and then on through Talos. Her thoughts all on one person., the girl that showed her she was one of them. That she did fit in here somehow..... even if it wasn't quite how she'd pictured.
Cricket accepted Kali like noone here had yet. She befriended her and kept her secrets. And more important she understood the confusion and pain Kali was feeling over "Him" It was Cricket that got her to talk about it. And Cricket that held her and wiped away the tears . It was also Cricket who's lips lightly brushed hers and promised her everything would work out for the best.
" Just give things time , don't try so hard.... when it's time they will all accept you without you having to try" Cricket had told her.
"Maybe Crickets right, maybe I am trying to hard " Kali thinks to herself.
She finds Cricket just as she is leaving Pocket D. Even with all people coming and going from the club , Cricket stops. She brushes the long windblown strands of hair from Kalis eyes. Those deep black pools , an abyss of blackness.
" Did you get back to your room ok last night Kali?" Cricket asks...
" yes I did thanks" Kali answers.
