"Hey you! why ya sittin over here all alone? c'mon over on the bench and watch with me. I have chips and I'll share"

Eshva red eyes shot up to Kali, she didn't even notice her walking up. Either way a smile came on her face as she moved some purple strands out of her face.

"Sure!"

Eshva jumped up off the ground and on to her feet. She fussed a moment fixing her school uniform dusting off the random bits of grass that still clung there.

"Come on over this way. Over there we had a slight mishap with coke... "

Eshva giggled and followed Kali over to the bench and took a seat. Slighty embrassed she lent over to Kali and whispered.

" I don't know how this game works.... "

Grinning from ear to ear Kali begins to explain the game of football....

" ok heres how it works... see that group there? * Kali points to a group of guys on the defensive end*
They have to keep those guys * she now points to the offensive side*
from taking away that funny shaped ball.... and while doing that they have to get the ball all the way down there *she now points to the goal post on the opposite end of the field* to make a point . But heres where it get intersting....
Kali now points to the offensive side* those guys there... well they can run the other side literally into the ground from what i can tell to take that ball away. And believe me they do * she giggles pointing at a tackle now place* see? what i tell ya!"

Kali jumps from the bench to look as she now realizes the pile of tackling players is growing and tries to find Oby in the pile up.

" Eshy! which ones Oby??"

Eshva stood up and squinting her red eyes trying to make out the differences of the pile of players.

"I don't see him! oh wait a sec! there he his"

Pointing to the bottom of the pile an obsidian arm stuck out.

Oh gosh I hope he's okay!

The dogpile started to move as the guys slowly got up.. Eshva didn't reconize alot of them. Pointing to one of the very large guys.

"Whos that? "

Eshva exclaimed as she pointed out the obsidian arm...
Looking worriedly in that direction Kali almost didnt hear her ask who the large one was.
please be ok.. please please please be ok Kali chants to herself quietly as she watches.
As the crowd of players stands off , one at a time , Kali's eyes stayed glued to them. Finally the pile is almost clear but she cant tell if Oby is getting ready to stand yet.
Still watching , the little chant still being whispered , please be ok.. please please please be ok
Quietly she answers Eshva.... " I think its Biff...
Kali's eyes are still glued to Oby.
" Eshy.... say Hes ok...."

As the girls looked on, the pile of bodies starts to unentangle itself, boys pulling themselves up. Having carried the ball, Oby was one of the last to get up. They watched in curiosity as Biff, who'd just laid Oby out on the turf offered a hand down to the prone boy. Oby took the hand, and with Biff's help, hopped to his feet. Then he did something neither of them would have expected. He grabbed the facemask of Biff's helmet, and gave the larger boy a headbutt, and then the two shared a high five before Oby returned to the offensive side of the ball, where all of those boys were huddled up.

Soon, the huddle broke up, and they lined up to do it all over again...

Eshva laughed at the sight of the headbutt.

"I guess he is okay! Do they normally do that?"

This is pretty fun to watch.. She leaned back on the bench and grined at Kali. She looked arround for Glaical who she hadn't seen yet.. She frowned as she didn't spot him. He's much harder to find now with skin...

"Um... Were's Glacial? I thought he was on the football team.."

Eshva again looked at Kali. The sun shone off her hair as a smile came across her face. Wow.. she's really pretty...

Sighing with relief Kali sits back down.
"I guess he is okay! Do they normally do that?"

" oh lord.... they do that and worse!" Kali exclaims then bursts out laughing.

"Um... Were's Glacial? I thought he was on the football team.."

" oh Hes right there! " Kali exclaims as she points at the boy standing between Jaygo and Biff at the water table.

Kali suddenly decides Eshy needs a closer view and jumps from her seat grabbing Eshys hand and leading her towards the 50 yard line.

" ok we're gonna stand here but be ready to jump away fast! I know youre fast on your feet so it shouldnt be a problem " Kali smiles warmly and stands slightly to the side of Esh , as Alex looks thier way Kali points to Eshy and grins.

Sha walks up the steps of the bleechers and looks out over the field at the boys and smiles brightly.

Noticing Kali and Eshy sitting there she walks over and waves timidly as always. "Hi Eshy, hi Klai, may I please sit with you two?"

"Sure! Kali exclaims as she scoots to the side to make room. " want some chips? I have more in my bookbag" *smiles*
" i dont know why but lately I have been craving chips like mad! I think its the salt.... You know cause its been so hot out and all"
kali reaches for her bookbag and pulls out an unopened bag of fritos passing them to Shadow.

" Oh mygawd Shadow wasnt that mexican place to die for last night?"

Kalis attention is turned back to the field as she hears the sound of crackling helmets again.

Jumping from her seat she screams....

" Biff stop picking on Oby and crash into someone else for a change!!"

Jumps as Kali does, scared that they are under attack. She then notices Kali yelling and yells "Yeah Biff!" Having no clue why.

She sits back down and opens the bag of chips and begins eating. "Yeah that was good, I have never tasted anything so good before, I love mexicans!" "So umm...whats the idea here of this game anyways?"

Sitting back down Kali resumes munching a handful of fritos .
She giggles as Shadow declares her love for mexicans knowing the younger girl means the food but enjoying the cuteness of it all.

"So umm...whats the idea here of this game anyways?" Shadow asks.

" Well see... * crunching loudly as she talks* that group there... is gonna * crunch* try and keep that weird lookin * crunch* ball from them guys..... * Kali points back and forth between the groups waving a chip around in her hand* and sometimes... they jump on each other and knck each other down. I think thats about it .... * Kali shrugs and pops another chip into her mouth * Oh wait... ... theres one more thing... who ever has the ball... has to get it to those posts at the opposite end for a point. Thats all i think..."
Kali goes back to watching intently.

Glacial was there, all right, but he wasn't suited up. Without padding, his jersey hung limply over his shoulders.

He was benched.

More specifically, he had asked to be benched.

Since his run in (His fist's run-in, really) with Oby, he and Doctor Conrads decided that it would be for the best if he took some time off the team. Coach Waters understood, and granted him time without complaint.

The football field was such a testosterone factory sometimes. While Conrads was helping him twice a week to get his anger sorted out, he was a liability on the green. He was sure that when he returned he'd be more of an asset to the team.

In the meantime, he was the waterboy. It suited him well, since he could carry four of the water coolers without an ounce of strain, and they'd stay nice and cold as long as he was around.

He spotted the girls sitting on the bleechers and figured that this was as good a chance as any to show off. He grabbed several cups in his left hand and grabbed a full Gatorade cooler by the handle -- using only his index finger. He held it all the way out at his side and walked over, grinning.

"Mighty hot out today, ladies. You look like you could use a drink."

Kali smiles broadly as Glacial asks.
" I would love one than you! My coke kinda had an accident"
She reaches for a cup of water thanking Alex once more.

Kali suddenly gets an excited expression ,turning to the other girls she exclaims,
"I have an idea.... you know what we could do? We could make some banners for the game. Alex you could help since Im not sure who all the players are. Wouldnt it be a huge surprise if when they run out for the game theres tons of banners for all of them hanging on all the stands?"

*Sits for a moment thinking about the explanation for the game then just replies* Oh...Umm...ok...*she returns to watching them play and as Kali asks about the banners she replies" Sure I would love to help!...Umm whats a banner?"

With a big grin Eshva accepted a glass of water from Glaical. She got up and gave him hug and a noogie.

"Isn't your last name waters?"

She teased.
