The Orb

Nissa Sat in her dorm looking at the strange green orb that Eshva has given to her she said that Kearen had given it to her but what could it be. As she looked closer maybe it was just as she had said. Maybe Kearen was giving her a token of an old friendship after the entire orb looked harmless. So she sat on her bed feet in the air the orb in front of her and she stared at it wondering what it could be. As she leaned into it she could tell something inside it was moving not a Snake or anything of form but what looked to be clouds. Clouds inside the orb moving at a slow speed. As she leaned into it the Orb looked familiar from where she was from. So Nissa toke the orb by the hand and Stared at it really hard squinting until her eyes we nearly shut and then she noticed it. The orb as a single Button on it but it was hidden. So she toke a deep breath she went to go Press the button.

the Poison

As Nissa Went and Pressed the button the Cloud like gas came out fast hitting her face. As she jolted up blowing the gas from her face she felt Sick and got off the bed to get to the infirmary. As she got off the bed she could barley stand let alone walk. She was about 5 feet from the door before she fell to her knees gasping for breath. As the rest of the gas from the orb came off of the bed and right onto Nissa she was critically ill and needed to see a doctor but she couldn’t move. So she tried to make her way to the door but fell unconscious before she could even make it even 1 foot from where she originally fell.

Kris walked to the door, and opened it. There was an odd sensation of panice and even terror, which caused the redhead to step back one step, then look around. Seeing her roommate on the fllor, she stepped into the room, and looked around. Upon Nissa's bad lay a spherical case, which was now open. However, it seemed devoid of contents.

Squatting down she felt the elf's pulse. It was weak, and not staying in a steady pace. This was bad. Pulling out her Comm, Kris called to the RA, hoping Barrier was back from practice, but not getting a response, she called ahead to the campus infirmary. Doc Orson would know what to do, if this was a complicated affair. In the meantime, while calling to the infirmay, she proceeded to make it to where Nissa could breathe, and her pulse be kept better track of. She looked to the orb, again...

Kris made it to the infirmary with Nissa has Doc Orson Put her on one of the examination tables the Doctor could already tell this was bad. Nissa’s skin has grown pale and her pulse even weaker. As the Doctor made her examination she could tell that this was nothing she had ever seen before. She is dieing but nothing is showing any signs of failure it’s almost as if her body is just dieing from nothing. Nissa lay still on the Table where The doctor and Kris quickly moved her from and put her in a Bad. They hocked her up and made sure every part of the equipment was working perfectly.

“Kris please leave me here with her alone for a while so I can check on her without a distraction and please tell everyone that I will be occupied for a few hours to make sure she’s ok”

Eshva was on partol when news hit that Nissa was in the hopsital and possibly dying... a from a gas... Eshva eyes went wide... The orb she's passed on from Kearen... had a cloudy appearance.... Could that have been. She broke down into tears.... What have I done Voice unsteady on the comm... She couldn't stand it.. Fell to her knees.. Betrayed.... Used.... Why!!! Kearen had been so nice to her... why.... would he do such a horrible thing.... Glacial tried his comfort her...

Eshva held her self.. Rin soon showed up by her side. They moved to the top of a building so they could talk. Eshva tried to tell them but emotion choked her words and everything came out stammered. Rin and Glacial were very detrimed to help Eshva make things right again. Kearen would pay. Giving the location that she last saw Kearen which was Croatoa. Just then Pali showed up at the building rooftop.

Nissa lay on the infirmary bed. Her eyes watering from all the pain that the poison is causing her. As Doctor Orson pulled over in her chair and began to take samples of Nissa's blood. The doctor started to role over back toward her desk when Nissa let out a blood curtailing scream in pain so the doctor quickly rushed and gave her a super sedative and Nissa was fast asleep and yet even sleeping tears where streaming down her face.

“What kind of monster doses this to a person?” the doctor said as she gave Nissa her sedative.

As the doctor turned around and sat down in her desk she felt as though she was being watch so she walked over to the window but there was no one so she turned around and she thought she heard something like a can of full soda land on the floor. When she looked out the door there was a janitor who had merely just dropped his soda. But when she turned around she walked over to the window and squinted. She looked out the window and saw a man in all black robes and a all black face peering at the window so she quickly shut the blinds and walked back to take care of Nissa

Eshva took a deep breath. She was scared and overwhelmed with guilt. The events of last night were still very fresh in her mind. She'd just finish making the biggest journal entry yet. Hopefully that helps me when I get questioned She knew she would. Her finger prints were all over that orb and played an improtant role in the crime.

Holding flowers and a card she stood outside Nissa's room. As she reached to the door a voice rang out threw her mind.

Thank you for being such a great help, I will have what is mine. Stay out of my way, I will Kill you...

Eshva closed her eyes. Kearen Darkwood's words Rang threw her head

She might not hate you forever.. He taughted. Eshva felt the knots tie up in her stomach. She wanted the memories to go away. She knew Kearen was capable of talking to her threw her mind. Right now she was having a hard time figuring out if it was him again or not. Go away go away Eshva tried to will the voice out of her head. She opened the door and entered the room.[/i]

Nissa still week the doctor at her side was checking to make sure that Nissa was alright to even talk let alone move. the doctor gave nissa some pain killers and she opened her eyes to see Eshva at the door. Her eyes where still blurry so as she looked at the door she let out the words

“Pally? Pally is that you?” she coughed and put her head down on the bed.

Lieing still she tried to move but the doctor put her hand across Nissa and told her not to but Nissa stood up anyway. Doing her best she walked about 2 feet away from the bed and then quickly feel to the ground hard.

“pally…Pally…Help...M-me…I-I cant feel…anything im s-so week..” Nissa was then picked up by the doctor and put on the bed again.

Nissa’s eyes now coming into focus noticing that that’s not Pally she quickly sighed and put her head back knowing that that was the girl she had met the day she was poisoned and she was the one who had given her the orb

A pain struck into Eshva stomach after watching Nissa.. Guilt once again flooded over her. Attempting to keep her strength in her legs she slowly wanderd to the side of the bed and placed the card and the flowers on the talbe.

She doesn't need to see me... She needs pally...

She droped her head down in shame. Maybe it was best that she leave not say anything. Eshva wanted to tell Nissa how sorry she was..

It wasn't my flaut It wan't my flaut....

Thats what everyone told her.. She wanted to believe it...

Oh who am I kidding!! I fell for it..

Eshva had givin the orb directly to Nissa... Even after Crickets warning... She didn't have it checked and even now Nissa wasn't safe.... Kearens voice again arose in her head. Thank you now I know were Nissa is.. Eshva bit her lip.. She didn't want to see him ever again...but some how he was locked in her mind... like the Hellions that tourmented her..

Gathering herself Eshva sat down in the a chair near the bed.

So many instruments...

The room was full of them, all montoring something about the elf girl. Eshva looked at the doctor who was carefully tucking Nissa under some covers.

She is in good hands...

"Nissa..... I'm so sorry....." Eshva managed to force out.. The Doctor turned her head towards the demon girl. Eshva could feel the coldness of her eyes glaring into her body. Uncomfortable Eshva quickly stood up and headed for the door.[/i]

"W-Wait...Its alright..." Nissa was holding her hand out with her palm open inviteing Eshva to come sit down.

"N-No...Kearen D-did this to me..N-not you" The pain in her eyes began to grow but as the doctor went to go give nissa something to put her to rest Nissa grabed the Needle and used her magic to break it in the her hand

Nissa after useing her magic now feels more painful than ever befor an really needed some comfert...as the elven girl roled into a ball on the bed shivering and shakeing on the bed from the pain she saw Eshva turn around and watch.

"P-please...Help me...M-make it stop...Make it stop.." Nissa looked right at eshvas eyes as tears ran down her face.

"P-please...Help me...M-make it stop...Make it stop.." Nissa's words rang threw out Eshva ears. Repeating threw her head. She turned back to face the Elf girl whose eyes had not stop water since she entered. Eshva slowly found her way back to the seat beside Nissa. Eshva eyes looked up at the Doctor and she nodded. The doctor walked to the door to give the two girls some time alone.

Eshva then told Nissa about the encounter with Kearn.... well the... numberous encounters the other day. She omited the fight in the arena with Pali and Amy....

"There are two viles...... one green.... one red.... We are not sure if they'll hurt you.... or help you..... I don't want to risk something that will hurt you.... The doctors are looking at it and making sure it won't do anything more to harm you...I hope they know soon..."

She looked at Nissa. The elf girl almost looked like she was ready to take them both to end her pain. Her eyes welled up with hope. A fear grew in eshva's mind.... She couldn't tell Nissa no if she asked for the viles...... She wouldn't be able to stand and watch the hope leave Nissa's eyes..

With an aburt burlt the next words just flew out of her mouth.

" Hopefully they'll be finish testing them soon.... I'll go check"

Eshva leaned over the bed and gave Nissa a hug.

"I'll come back and visit soon. We'll make it stop... for good"

As Eshva left the room she smiled.

Nissa watched eshva head out the door. She wanted the pain to stop but she knew that 1 of the viles is probably more poison. Nissa lay in her bed talking to herself

"E-Eshva...Please...H-Hurry...I..I cant take it..A-Anymore...Im dieing and i cant do anything to help it..."

A quick thought rushed threw Nissas Head

"Maybe...I could make it stop...M-Maybe..." Nissa Look over at on the table and saw some of the scalpuls

"Yes...Yes! i have to finish this myself!" She reaches over and makes her way to grab one of the scalpuls

Paula waited for there to be no one around, before going to see Nissa. She felt like she had hardly done anything to protect Nissa. And, so her words from the other day were almost muted. She didn't even see how Nissa could count on her, and would not blame the girl, if she threw Pally out.

As she stepped into the "room", however, she saw something she could do something about. Nissa was just grasping at some knives, and looked to be determined to do something. With a leap, the latin girl was there, and knocked the blade from the girl's hand. This was foolishness!

"No," Pally shouted. "Duendita! No. Joo can't be doin' dat! Oh, sweet Nissa! Joo need ta hand tight. It will all be over, soon enough! I promise! Especially since we ran dat dirtbag off!"

The latin girl looked around, and sat, on the side of the bed, pulling the elf into her arms and holding her protectively. Reaching to her friend's wrists, she pulled the close, and kissed the back of Nissa's hands. She smiled, and shook her head as she rerassuringly looked to the girl.

"No worries, Nissa," she said lightly. "I'll sit here with joo. Okay?"

Nissa Sit on the bed realizing what she was about to do. Kearen winning and she had no way of fighting back.

Pally...I-I...i cant do it anymore...Kearens poison is winning...and it hurts so bad...Please Make it stop! " Nissa now siting with her arms across her legs and her head on her knees.

"Pally...i cant..I-I want it to end...Whatever the cure is please...Just give it to me i dont care witch one...ether one of them will be saveing me from this pain...Please!...Please! Make it stop!!!" Nissa gazed up at the latin girls face. But then Nissas eyes went wide

"Pally...M-My heart...it hurt" Nissa feel back onto the bed her eyes shut the monitor watching her heart was reading her beat going way to fast

"The doctor rushed in at the sound of the monitor going off like that and Told pally to go wait outside

"Paula please go wait outside. I need you to please go and tell everyone that nissa is in danger and i need to spend the afternoon working on her so please go!"

Paula went to the door of the room, and turned to watch. Something hardened in her heart. The next time she saw Kearen, she would not be lenient. She would impress upon him that his safety was in danger, if he stayed, and it would be his last warning.

Waiting outside she wondered if the elf girl was going to be okay. It was true, she liked Nissa. Well, she liked her alot, but, that was what made this all such a pain. She decided to wait here, and keep anyone from entering. If she could face nazi wannabes and demon wannabes, she could certainly turn people back, from this door.

Paula waited outside of the room they had Nissa in, while the doctor saw to her elven friend. Slowly the teen faded into a full sleep. In her sleep the nightmare returned, and she awoke as the skeletal hand reached toward her. Waking from her nightmare, Pally tok a step forward, but fell flat on her face, as something tripped her.

Looking back, she saw she hadn't been been tripped at all. Instead, her shoelaces had been tied together. It was one of the oldest tricks in the book. Being a light sleeper, though, she would have noticed if someone had tied her shoes together like that. Something was up, and Antoine DuBois had answers she was willing to bet!
