Where's Annie?

Post by Kris O'Sullivan »

Kris walked into the Dormitory, and stopped at the quad belonging to Annie and her roommates. Looking at the polished "1" on the door, she raised her hand and knocked, unaware that her make-up was smeared from having made out with Tony. Still, she couldn't get the stupid grin off of her face. She was pretty, and other people thought so, too!

Knocking again, Kris looked to make sure she had the right stuff available. She had another round of sushi, red cream soda, chocolate syrup, saltine crackers, sardines, mustard, and a multi-pack of mini-candybars. Shrugging, she thought maybe Annie might like it. She knew Annie would at least enjoy the octopuss and squid sushi she had picked up at the Hungry Dragon. All she had to do was mention Annie's name and the old chinese woman knew what to get.

After a few moments, Kris paused. She wasn't sure exactly what it was, but it sounded like old movies. Walking to the floor's common room, she saw Annie was perched in the couch, watching movies. Her smile growing, Kris walked over, and quietly had a seat, then opened Annie's sushi, and handed it across to her friend, as the girl watched the movie through a stare.

"What are you watching," Kris giggled a little, but kept her voice down.

"It is indeed a pleasure to introduce to you a gentleman we picked up in medieval Mongolia in the year 1269."

"Please welcome, the very excellent barbarian..."

Annie's nostrils flaired as the telltale scent of cepholopod wafted to her. Annie's race was omnivorous, much like humans, but they evolved from a decidedly predatory species back when the primordial oceans of Tau Ceti Beta. Even after the Tau Cetians had developed to a point of sentience, they still kept their instincts to hunt some of their favorite and most nurturing of foods. On Earth, octopus and squid seemed to come close to whatever Annie and her people considered a delicious treat.

"Oh! Kris, when did you get back? And.... is that.... for.... me?"

"Just a few minutes ago," Kris gigggled. "And, yes! Just for you! I'm not much into calamari unless it's fried. I like it when its nice an crunchy. I also got you these."

The red haired girl pulled out the can of sardines, and pointed out the instructions for opening them, before putting them into the bag again, knowing that Annie was fixated upon the sushi she had brought back for the alien. Once the bag was set, she put it beside Annie, and smiled. The girl was delighted at the treat, and it showed both in her zeal and her colors.
