Saint Joseph School

Kris sat upon the hill , after spreading the blanket out. She wanted this to be a special event, since she had promised fun and food. She had told her mom a little of what had happened, and was lectured about picking fights she had no business being involved in. But, in the end, her mom had given her a few pies, and a cobbler.

Kris rounded it all off with a trip to the store to get ice cream, and whipped topping, along with some drinks for everyone. It was all safely sitting in the coolers she brought. If she remembered right, her inventory was one pecan pie, cherry pie, key lime pie, a peach cobbler, a gallon of vanilla ice cream, a gallon of some sort of blue kool-aid, a big bottle of Doc P, and a big bottle of Coke.

She had mase sure to leave messages for both Angel and Danny, and even asked Tony to come as well, if he could swing it. She had made sure to say what she was bringing, so that if they wanted more, they needed to bring it. She had asked for fried chicken or something like that, if they could swing it.

It was a beautiful day, and she loved these tiny islands, just off of Talos Island's coast. The sun made the water sparkle, and a breeze killed the heat, and carried a slight smell of the salty spray, below. She hoped everyone would be able to show up, and had made a special call to see if Arrow could join, rounding it up to two boys and two girls. Lying back, Kris grinned really big, and dozed off as the Groove Armada played on the boombox.

Angelique looks at her emails, trying to still put things together. she needed to find out what happened to the last 4 months of her life and why she couldn't remember any of it. Her thoughts are distracted by and email from Kris O'Sullivan. Angel smiles as she opens the email.

Invitation for a picnic, huh. How sweet of her to invite me. I'm going to like being friends with her. I just wish I could remember when she and I first started hanging out. But that was the evil me. Time to start fresh.

A smile crosses the teenager's face.

Danny... Soulsaver... Hmmm... I've missed him... I'm glad that he and I are back together. I hurt him so much... I should have never left him for Detective.

Her thoughts turn to Detective, as her eyes narrow, while her computer shuts down and she goes to her mirror, looking at the fading bruise on her left cheekbone.

God, I can't believe Adam actually hit me.

She begins applying makeup over the bruise, trying to not make it as noticeable, but it never fails. It gets noticed.

The teen heads out to the islands, where the picnic is to be held. She flies out, wearing a pink top and a pair of blue jeans. Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail. She gently lowers herself, to land on the grass. She looks at the picnic set up that Kris has gone out of her way to make sure looks perfect. Angel smiles to Kris, as she speaks.

"Kris, everything looks great! Am I the first one here?"

Angel smiles to Kris, as she speaks."Kris, everything looks great! Am I the first one here?" Tony smiles to himself as he sat unseen next to Kris lying there dozing with a smile on her face. He looked over at Angel and said quietly,"Don't you wish?". His eyes narrowed as he saw the bruise on her face and he began to fade into view....

With a start and a yelp, Kris nearly bolted upright. Arrow's sneakiness was truly never something she questioned. Catching her breath, with hand to her chest, the redhead tittered a little before bursting into laughter. Throwing her arms around her boyfriend, she made gleeful noises as she hugged Tony.

"Tony! You made it! Thank you," she said, eyes all aglow with her joy. "Well, as you can see, Angel, Tony was stalking me. Making me into some sort of diaphanous prey. Did you bring anything, guys?"

It's just about then that Johnny pops in, diet soda's in one hand and a bag full of goodies in the other.

"Hey, Kris! Thanks for the invite."

JD looks over at Angel and smiles, and nods to Tony as he pulls a blanket out of the bag and puts everything else down next to it.

"Oooooo! Johnny! You brought other goodies, too," Kris asked.

She hoped against hope he had gotten her wish list, and brought the chicken. Major Flanders had awesome chicken, and she adored their mashed potatoes and gravy, too! Come to think of it, their biscuits weren't bad at all, either...

"I brought lots of munchies and stuff for s'mores," he said in reply.

Looking into Kris's eyes he could see just a hint of disappointment. "Oh, shoot, I forgot the chicken! Be right back!"

And with a turn back toward the city, and a familiar popping sound at the sudden rush of air to fill the void, Johnny ported away.

Angel stood there and smirked as Johnny teleported away. But before she could say anything to everyone he was gone. From out of a bag that she brought with her, a bucket of chicken and another few boxes of biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy.

"Well, if he had waited for me to say something..." she sighed and concentrated on Johnny. She threw her hands out to the sides and teleported Johnny back to them.

"Hey!" he shouted unexpectedly. Angel laughed.

"JD, I brought the chicken and stuff already."

Kris giggled at the comedy of the scene that had just unfolded. It was a good thing Johnny hadn't made it to the Major's. Then there woulda been a need to ask a whole lot of people to come and eat. She wondered if Danny was going to show up. He really seemed to want some of the pie her mom made.

Snuggling into Arrow she whispered to Tony how happy he had made her by showing up, then kissed his jaw. She was so very happy that they had made it through all of this, and were still together. Now, it seemed that there could be sunny days and happy times again. Like the storm of drama was finally over.

"Oh," he blushed! "Heh, thanks Angel."

All of a sudden, Johnny gets very quiet and looks in the direction of a different island not too far away.

"Kris, you don't mind if I call Amy and see if she can come, do you?"

"Amy," Kris asked. "Sure! She's cool! I'd love to have her along! With all of the food showing, we might as well have a gathering!"

Kris smiled brilliantly. This was working out wonderfully!

Daniel sat resting on his bed, sipping tea. "Wonder what the others are up to..." he thought. He sat uptight in bed, stretching. He set his teacup down on the desk and opened the door, stepping on a letter lying on the floor. "What's this?" He said and opened the letter.

Dear Danny,
Holding a picnic for friends in Talos. Come and have pie!

"Ooo! A picnic!" he squeeled to himself, clapping his hands excitedly. "It'll be good to see some old friends again. Especially Sapphire. It's been so long. I've missed her so much." His eyes began to well up with tears at the thought, just before they hissed away as steam. "Now what should I bring? Hmm..." He thought for a second, then quickly turned to an especially large kettle full of hot tea sitting near a large pile of next books and smiled. "That'll do." He grabbed it and zoomed out the door.

"Oops, I'm late" he said to himself, hovering high above the small group of students gathered together. He spotted Sapphire talking to Johnny and smiled. He slowly landed behind her, holding his finger to his lips, telling Johnny not to tell. Then he wrapped his free arm around Angel's waist and kissed her on the cheek.

"Zdravstvuite."

Johnny had just turned from Kris when he saw Danny descending. When he realized what was going on he quickly lowered his head and blushed, moving away from the group to call Amy.

"Hey, sweetie, what are you doing? What's that? No, I'm in Talos. Heh, no not there. Kris is throwing a small party on one of the islands close by though. <Johnny grins at a few fond memories> Yeah, it'll be a blast! Huh? Pally? I'm sure it'll be ok, but I should ask Kris first, love. Hold on a sec."

"Hey, Kris," he yells back in the direction of the group, "Amy's with Palilla and is wondering if it's ok to bring her along, too?"

((move along, nothing to see here....))

"Palilla? This should be interesting.."Tony said quietly to Kris as he remembered his last and only conversation with the girl. "Let her come...I'll behave if she does." Tony then kissed Kris behind the ear...
