I'm finally, finally, able to go out around the rest of the school. I've spent the last four years practically a hermit, getting "special schooling." It's a good thing it's a private school; they probably would have put me back on the short bus at my old school. But regardless...this was not how I was expecting my welcome.
"Well, welcome out of the closet, 'Cracker Jax,'" he says, pushing me into the locker. "I'll make this easy for you, since it's your first day in the real world and all." He pulls off my glasses, tossing them to his buddy, then picks me up and pounds me into the locker.
Damn, what a loser.
Oh jeeze...he's found a new target.
I wonder what they're serving at lunch.
Just make it easier and give me your lunch money, I don't have the time to sit here and wait for a penguin.
"I don't have any lunch money" I reply.
He drops me to my feet, then tosses my glasses back. "Well fortunetly for you" telepathic sonuva "I'm in a hurry" shit, here comes Moltar "I'll see you tomorrow, Cracker Jax; better have somethin' good for me" stupid nerd.
Oh I KNOW he was up to no...
...can't believe he's still picking on new peopl...
...late for calcul...
...so cute...
I can't even hear myself think when this happens. So many thoughts...so many emotions flinging towards me. "Just keep calm, breathe" I tell myself, but it doesn't help much, I'm so dazed. And then things get even more confusing...
...up to no good but my he does look very handsome today...
...picking on new people, that asshole, I oughta sock him one good, teach HIM a lesson...
...late for calculus oh my gosh I'm not going to make it why me...
...so cute I should just ask him out now forget waiting patience is for suckers
I have to laugh a little to myself...especially since the little green girl who was gonna teach the bully a lesson wouldn't have stood a chance (unless she really WAS a Troll), and Moltar catching herself checking the kid out was enough to make me blush in embarrassment for her. I close my eyes, start concentrating on each voice, each emotion, and one by one they snuff out, tuned out of mind. Feelings begin to match thoughts again, until the last thought is there.
...handsome today what am I thinking Mary Moltar! My goodness, that ruffian needs a good night in detention is what HE needs...
And then, she's out, too.
Hello? Hellooooo? I smirk; no one else but me. No other voices in my head 'cept for mine. Stupid doctor. I bend down, fumbling for the shoulder straps on my backpack, reaching back quickly when I feel like my shirt is lifting up out of my pants and pulling it back down. No plumber cracks here, oh no. Finally untangle the straps and flip the back pack around, hitting the girl that was opening her locker behind me. All her books drop.
What the hell?! Watch where you're going, idiot!
I turn, bending over to pick up the books. "I'm really sorry...didn't know you were behind me..."
...probably just some new freshman...
"Actually...I'm a sophomore..." I stand back up, handing her books back to her. Her eyes are wide and the color drained from her face.
"Stay out of my head, and watch where you're going next time!" She slams her locker closed and stalks off. I can feel her anger for quite a while.
This is DEFINITELY not how I wanted my first day to go...when's lunch?
