Reunion

Conciousness came slowly, but the aroma of fine coffoee was to great a lure to resist. Lycia's hand clutched the cup while she sat up in bed. She brought the coffee to her lips and that's when she noticed her hand. It was white, like the ivory keys of a piano... in fact all of her was. She spat out her coffee in shock. She looked around the room for an explanation, thats when she saw the date on the clock, April 6th... wasn't yesterday March 19th?
"Kris...what's going on..." she asked her friend "why am I all white ?"

"I dunno, sweetie. I thought you were going to clue me in," Kris shrugged. "Maybe a transmutation? It really looks good on you, though. I like it. Man! What a busy day I have! You have changes, I have to catch my ride to the airport for my trip to DC, and I don't get to say goodbye to Stasis... Crap! I coulda sworn I had packed, too!"
Kris hopped out of bed, running her hair through her raven hair, unaware as of yet, that it was different than when she went to bed, last she recalled. Hurriedly, she began packing a suitcase, muttering about her mom having a fit. When she finished, she went to her dresser, and pulled out some clothed to wear for her trip.
"I wish I didn't have to go to DC! There's so much I have to do. To say..."
