Would you be so kind as to take me out sometime really soon? I think I could use the personal time for us. Everything has been so crazy this past week. After we talked, I couldn't believe it when I came out of a funk, to find mysell atop one of the towers of the Terra Volt Bridge, looking down at the water. Obviously, I didn't jump, because I still want to have this date. AND, I feel a lot better. We're going to pull through this. I promise. So long as it's "we" who is doing it. Sorry for the wierd wording or whatever. I'm kind of scattered today.
Always,
Kris

Kris looked to the letter and smiled. It was amazing, how despite the wreckage of her life, there was still a semblance of the order it used to contain. She wondered where Stasi was, so she could have someone to tell this to. She pondered if maybe it might make her frosty friend jealous, and decided that they might need to talk about what was okay to talk about amongst themselves. Kris, admittedly was jealous. And, she had no right to be. But it still didn't diminish her feelings, no matter how much logic one threw at it.
Still, she was thrilled at a chance for another date. Where would this one be, she wondered. Maybe they could go someplace nice. Maybe. But where? Kris had no clue what was nice, and what was just outrageously expensive cheap food. But, she did know who did know such things. But, how would she ever be able to talk to November? The girl obviously didn't like Kris, and thought she was cheap and low.
After a few moments of moping, she decided this was no different than saving people. All she had to do, was emotionally tank on in there, take a pounding, and get what she came for! Yep! In her own way, Kris could be Stasis Kiss, too!!! Checking the quad map, she decided to check November's quad, and see if she was there. After that, who could tell?

(*looks at the script* I coulda sworn this was the part where I got to be all nice and meek and ask the knowledgeable November about eateries... Maybe the pages are stuck together... Paper cutters do that, sometimes...)

Music could be heard playing softly beyond the heavy oak door that stood in between the hesitant Kris and the chamber of, what seemed, Hell. She lifted a fist, wincing as she stood. Her hand remained up in the air and she breathed audibly before finally making contact with the door.
The music stopped.
Shuffling.
Floorboards creaking.
It didn't help the scene that the sun was setting. The blazing sun cast a bright orange flood through the dormitory corridor, channels of fiery light shot out from the ample hall bay window. Dark shadows played in every corner, darkness was accentuated as well as the bits of dust and particles floating in the sun beams. Kris braced herself and glanced around nervously, she felt the sudden urge to flee. She couldn't decide. "Oh! I knew this was a bad idea", she hissed at herself in a panicky tone.
Suddenly the door swung open. Kris followed the form from its barefeet, tracing the figure up with her anxious eyes, finally meeting November's apathetic and frozen gaze. She was donned in black tights that were trimmed at the calves and a white lycra tank.
"Qu'est-ce que c'est?"
Kris smiled sheepishly, mustering up the courage to reply as she rubbed the back of her neck, "B-b-bonjour, November!" She swallowed, should she have said that in her own language? Maybe she'd like that? Kris just smiled at the tall girl candidly, her face starting to hurt. November quirked a brow at the display, cocking her hip to the side as she brought an arm up to prop against the entryway of her room, "What the hell are you doing?"
Kris's smile dropped and her bottom jaw hung slightly in an awkward gawk as she thought of what else to say. "I-I-I....uh, nothing? Just saying hey!" she responded with a titter. "So, hey!"
November pushed her jaw to the side, contemplating the quirky girl with a grave countenance.
Kris felt like dying. She looked back and forth from the frigid girl to the halls and down the banister, nervously noting how high up they were from the ground floor. Kris's smile was achingly huge on her face, but her eyes blinked and squirmed with unease.
November lifted her chin and peered down at the petite girl, a dark shadow falling over her oculars, "Are you..." November squinted her eyes murderously, "...High?"
Kris stared back at her in blank astonishment before replying, "What? Ah, no. No. No! Nooo! No. Not me! Don't touch the stuff! You know what they say...uhh...uhhhh....I pass on the grass, hehe! M-may I come in?" November gave the girl a skeptical glance before allowing her inside.
The room was sweet smelling, like a melange of coconut and vanilla. Kris, gathered the contents of the quaint room. It was awfully girly, with frills and lace at one end of the room.
Hard to believe this is November's end. For a fruitcake she sure keeps her stuff together.
She noted the fanciful decor stopped as she eyed the other end of the room. It bore a darker ambiance, with a haphazard pile of dark clothing, boots and stuffed animals - presumably that was Kali's side. November cleared her throat as she plopped down on her bed, "Now, what's the reason behind you suddenly deciding to pay this end a visit? You're looking for Kali, right? She's not here you know." Kris stood by the doorway, fidgeting with the hem of her skirt, "No, I came to see you actually."
November smiled smugly, "Is that so, cheri? Well..." She slid up her mattress and sat up against the wall, "What can I do for you?"
"I know you, uh, you, like, know all the nice places around town here, it seems. Yeah? I...I was hoping you could recommend a restaurant? A nice one?" Kris looked away, blushing. "Y-y-you see, Arrow Wraith and I...well, I'd --"
"Save it. I'm not interested in your torrid love affairs."
Kris's jaw slammed shut, her glasses rattled down the bridge of her nose. She was too scared to push them back up. November twirled her hand in the air, "What sort of food do you two prefer?"
Kris shoved her glasses back up her nose.
-"I...uhh, well, we uh..."
"Thai."
-"Uh. Um. I don't know. I've nev--"
"Thai."
-"O-ok!"
"Oui. Ah, there's this lovely oriental bistro in Flounder's Falls. Now, it's nothing too formal. But it's far from frumpy! Montien Thai Restaurant. Try the tofu platter with spicy peanut-almond sauce." She kissed a trio of fingers and thumb, "Il etait delicieux! You won't regret it. Just...you know...be careful."
Kris stood bewildered and relieved. She brought a digit to her bottom lip, blinking. November observed her disenchantedly from her bed.
(Screw you guys!)

"Th- thanks, again," Kris stammered a little as she turned and started to walk to the door. "I- I guess I better go."
The sudden image of her inspirational people came to mind, and she took a deep breath, then turned back around, a bit flushed but determined to not come off as the little push around she made herself out to be just moments before. "Actually, November, I almost asked Mimi instead, but, I figured that you were more in the know on such things." There! I said it, and it was a compliment. Despite what she made my relationship with Arrow sound like. "I also overheard some of the nuns saying you had excellent tastes in music. Not many people will talk music with me, unless it's about HIM or Maroon 5 or whatever. I just figured that it would be cool to see, know, and hear what a person of taste does. Like what my mother says we would do, if we still lived with her family. I'm sorry if this wasn't the right time, or even the right person, but there it is."
Kris was trembling. She hated dealing with confrontational people. Those were usually what the bad guys were like, and she wanted to believe that the students of this school were better than that. It helped a little, though that November projected confidence, and that Kris was able to use that, for her own good (a trick she had learned in dealing with Karlof). She waited to see if she was going to get the social doorslam in the face, or if maybe there was hope after all.

**Nein, you have done nothing wrong! I would have gone for Indian myself, but these are matters of differing pallets. November is no more guilty of wrongdoing than the charming Ms. O'Sullivan.**

November's face softened and she smiled without showing teeth, the serene curve of her lips nonthreateningly tucked.
"Merci beaucoup. Of taste, eh," she inquired. She rolled her eyeballs to their upper corners ponderously and nodded, "Hm. Yes. Those nuns would be accurate in their appraisal." Kris wrinkled her nose at the lack of modesty. November chuckled. "But yeah, I listen to all types of music. Different genres. Literally. I don't writher in disgust at Lynn Anderson or Tim Mcgraw, or act pained when Marilyn Manson blares, or show signs of boredom when listening to Mozart or Billie Holiday. Although I'm not too partial to that interesting little genus called "screamo", is it called? "Hardcore"? I have a hard time getting into that, but I try. But sure, hiphop, reggae, classical, rock, new wave, jazz, ambient...what have you. All music is beautiful."
Kris smiled and her shoulders slumped with relaxation. She leaned up against the edge of the open door, her hands wrapped around either knob. Kris nodded in agreement and tucked an auburn chunk of hair behind an ear.
(Kali, you seemed like a teddy bear sort of girl! Thank God! I was hoping you would be. But...barbie...head? *eyes you astutely*)
