Bryan closed his locker. Giving the door a soft push to make sure the latch closed tightly. He quietly walked to his morning history class.

Frank walked out of the men's room and spotted the smaller boy with an arm load of books.

Hey Wrongway! Gotta lead a nerd meeting today?

Frank laughed at his own joke.

Hey Frank.

Bryan said after his greeting then immediately sighed at Frank's comment.

No. History class. Listen, I need to go. I'll catch ya later.

Bryan tried to step around the other boy.

Oh. Hey, no problem. Have fun learnin'!

Frank stepped back in front of Bryan.

Say! Let me help you with your books.

Frank reared his arms back and shoved the stack of books from the kid's arms onto the floor. He roared with laughter as he walked away.

Hahaha. See ya round! Say hi to your little tomboy pal for me.

Kneeling down to gather the scatered books, Bryan mumbled...
"Jerk."

Sam saw Bryan pick up the last of his books and pushed the teen's locker door to the side as he stood so he wouldn't smack his head into it.

Frank? She asked, not waiting for the answer. He got me this morning too. Is it just me, or has the chip on his shoulder gotten even bigger lately?

Standing up and smiling at the friendly voice.

I heard he's in troubleagain, this time for writing stuff on the walls in one of the boy's bathrooms. Coach says that he asks out when there's no other outlet for his anger.

Kat walks up, balancing her books in one hand as she situates that strap of her gym bag on her shoulder. Seeing her two friends, she stopped and smiled as she hugged her books against her chest.

Hey, guys. Who's in trouble again?

Still smiling, Bryan jerked a thumb down the hallway in the direction Frank went.

"Oh... Frank, I think. Someone must have put a stick up is butt this morning. He's in rare form this morning."

Please. If I ever see Frank NOT in rare form? I'll worry. What the coach said makes sense though. Guess that's why we didn't hear all that much from him 'til football season came to a close, that was his outlet. Hey, track is year round, isn't it?
