• Though human, Matt has many rabbit-like features. His body is covered with rabbit-like fur, he has rabbit-style ears instead of human-style ears, and he has a rabbit's tail. However, he does not have buck teeth; his teeth are normal in appearance.

Home life

Matthew has an older sister, Sarah Lisa Lamport, who is a sophomore (age 20) at Paragon University studying visual arts. His father, Richard Douglas Lamport (age 44), works in a steel extrusion plant owned by Haswell Steel as maintenance management. His mother, Patricia Catherine Lamport (age 42), is a cake decorator at a bakery.

Original Intro, 2007-10-22

OOC:

Matthew Lamport's a pretty normal kid, except for his appearance and powers. He's a sophomore, age 16. His family's been in Paragon City for about a year, and Matthew only recently acquired his powers and appearance -- the story of which is in the next post.

Matthew has rabbit-like features. This means a pair of rabbit ears, a rabbit tail, and fur. Fur is hard to pull off with the character creator, unfortunately. You either get smooth skin, or the really hairy "Monstrous Fur", which isn't even available for some body regions. Matthew's fur is short and soft, which falls somewhere in between smooth and really hairy. So, I improvise as best as I can: he gets monstrous fur on his arms and torso, and everywhere else he's smooth. Please suspend belief if you see him in swim trunks -- he's not actually as hairy as he looks! His fur color is his skin color.

In terms of powers, Matthew is a Sonic/Energy blaster. He is able to project sound with concussive force. Though not quiet, this also isn't absurdly loud -- if your character is teaming with him, it shouldn't be too much of an annoyance for them. His registered hero name is Lagomorph.


Update, 2007-12-05 (Issue 11)

Matthew's been enjoying his time at Saint Joe's so far and has been settling in pretty well. He's been having fun chatting with just about everyone about just about everything, though he's also been doing a remarkable job keeping quiet about a certain magical artifact he and several other students recently came into possession of. He's quite pleased with how well he's learning to use his new powers. However, he's also somewhat disappointed about how much more demanding the scholastic standards are at Saint Joe's compared to what he was used to in public school.

Update, 2009-07-05 (Issue 15)

About a year ago (June-August 2008), Matt went through a period where his rabbitness became unstable and he started transitioning back and forth randomly between his usual half-rabbit self and his previous fully-human self. After a few months of struggling to figure out what the heck was going on, Matt finally found a solution to his problem and decided to remain a half-rabbit. (These events are covered in Down the Rabbit Hole and Mattamorphosis.) Since then, Matt has not had any major catastrophes outside what is normal for superpowered teenagers.

At present, Matt is looking forward to the start of his senior year at Saint Joe's. He's on cheer squad and recently participated in intramural Power Ball. He's also been dating Dillon Murray for the past couple months.
