Kali's smile changes to a look of concern as she notices Stone has dissappeared.
" excuse me please Myth.... Ill be back but if they finnish that guy there * she points to Coach Waters* is who You need to speak to"
Standing , she looks around for Stone but cant seem to find Him.
She grabs her bookbag and takes off across the quad in a sprint hoping she can find Him and talk for a bit.

Unable to see Him near , Kali takes a seat near the main building under a tree.
She pulls her knees up under her chin and folds her arms across her knees to rest her head.

maybe he will see me here and come talk to me
she thinks to herself.

Reaching into her bookbag she pulls out a small leather pouch and withdraws and object wrapped in layers of soft cloth.
The tiny crystal bird glimmers in the sunlight and she gazes quietly as she waits.

a sudden tugging of stone's mind is telling him that he is wanted somewhere. walking toward this feeling he soon see's kali sitting alone under a tree looking at the crystal bird. knowing know that the feeling is some sort of link from the bird, stoned slowly stalks up behind kali until he is right behind her watching what she is doing. he speaks softly so as not to ruin the tranquility of the moment. " I think it became a bird to represent your freespirited nature." taking a seat beside kali stone watches the wind blowing the grass feeling for the first time today content.

Kali is slightly startled at Stones voice. She hadnt heard or felt Him approach.
" I think it became a bird to represent your freespirited nature."
A light blush crosses her cheeks as she looks up.
" Oh umm hi Stone" she replies with a soft smile.
" Hey ... i was wondering how you're doin.... you havent been yourself lately..... anything wrong?" she asks concerned.

Kali pulls her legs up under her to sit now and returns to gazing at the tiny bird.
" I still cant get over how you did this" she grins at Him

"i'm glad you like it. if you want i can show you how." Stoned says as he grasps both of kali's hand interlacing them with his. "the trick is to ask the earth for what you want." Both sets of hands now hovering above the earth start to vibrate and tingle. "I guess i feel a bit out of place around school now. in the short time i was gone much has changed...it's hard to acclimate." stoned looks at kali and smiles. "now imagine what it is that you want." their hands begin to faintly glow green.

Closing her eyes Kali begins to concentrate. At first all she can think of is the little bird she has been holding.
But then one other thing pops into focus in her mind.
The Moon. A glowing milky orb. Many times she has sat watching it also.
The tingling in her hands becomes more intense and she opens her eyes just slightly to see if the glow is fading.
Not only did it not fade but the green glow brightens and pulses around thier hands.
Kali glances up to Stone in amazement.
" How do you know when its done?" she asks quietly , still watching the green light softly flashing around thier hands.

Stone closes his eyes, feeling the pressure building under his and kali's hands. opening his eye's he looks down at kali and smiles. "i think it's done, but don't get upset if it isn't what you wanted this takes alot of practice." Stoned reluctantly pulls his hands away from kali's.

Inside Kalis hands she can feel an object . She doesnt open her hands right away but looks to Stone with a grin.
" this is sooo cool , its like when Youre really little and You turn the handle on the gumball machines and have to wait for the little prize to pop out!"
A big grins crosses her face and she giggles excitedly.
" ok ok here goes You ready?"

She closes her eyes once more and holds her hands out in front of her . Unfolding her enclosed fingers. Kali slowly opens her eyes and gazes thoughtfully on the item in her hand.

Looking up she catches Stones gaze and bursts into laughter.

" ok its not the moon.... half a moon maybe? What did we make?" shes giggling and holding up the object , obviously delighted at whatever Stones earth molding can do.
" Im not sure what it is but this is soooo cool!" she turns the small quartz half ball shaped item around in her fingers , looking thoughtfully at it for a moment before looking back at Stone again.
" so ummm what were you thinking of making cause maybe both our thoughts mixed to make one thing?" she asks with a grin.

Stoned looks at the object they had just created thoughtfully, "You'll see what it is soon enough, you just have to wait. 13 days more to be exact. (wensday the 9th of august) There will be a full Moon hold it up and you'll see what i was thinking about." stoned sighs with a sad smile of rememberance, "passion taught me how to do this."

looking at the sky and realizing it was almost dark stoned stands up offering his hand to kali. "So are we for D tomorrow night?"

"13 days huh? Wow its gonna drive me crazy waiting you know..." Kali replies as she gazes at the object of wonder.
"So are we for D tomorrow night?"
The question breaks her thoughts and she looks up with a smile.
" I think Pocket tomorrow sounds great. Im sure the gang would love to get together again , we always have such a great time there!"
Kali smiles softly and places the object in her bookbag carefully.
" Hey I need to go see if Myth found the coach ok and see how Obys doing , you can come back by the football field if you want. Myth is there and practice should be over soon."

Stoned paces back and forth in his room pondering the events of the night before. Shadow and Cro had spilled the beans to Kali. To make matters worse he told everyone that it was likely that he'd be leaving the school soon. right after he said it Kali rushed off.

Stoned pivots to turn the oppisite direction muttering to himself. Cronolgy sitting on the couch amused by some device with a red button occasionally glancing at Stone. pacing once more across the room Stoned says for the millionth time, "she didn't leave because of what i said right?" and for the millionth time Cro replied "I don't know dude."

Stopping Stoned turns to Cro and asks "should i write her a note?". Grimacing Cro looks at Stoned this obiously not being the first time he's asked the question, Cro responds "No, she hates you forever and she doesn't want to speak to you ever again."

Stoned startled at not hearing the same, "go ahead" or "do whatever" turned back to look at Cro who had a big grin on his face. "Figured that would get your attention". Smirking Stoned sits at a desk and starts to write.

Dear Kali,

I know how much you like to eat. how about we go grab some dinner tonight?

"No no that's not right." Stoned crumples the paper up and throws it in the trash. Taking out a new piece of paper he starts again.

Kali,

I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean for you to find out from Shadow and Cro. Not that it's a bad thing I just would have prefered to say something myself. I also want to appologize if the talk about the possibility of me leaving caught you off guard. I'd like to make it up to you, perhaps we can talk over dinner or something.

Satisfied with the letter Stone seals it and heads out the door to drop it in Kali's locker.

Rushing through the hall to her last class ,Kali stops at her locker and hecticly spins the combination into her lock. Tossing her books in and grabbing another one she slams the locker closed and starts to leave , then notices she threw her pens inside too.
Grumbling she re spins the combination in and swings the door open once more.
As she grabs her pens she sees a neatly folded piece paper with the word
KALI
printing in front.
Curious she picks it up and begins to unfold but the bells rings announcing her tardiness to class .... again.

Quickly she pushes the note into her notebook and runs down the hall to her next class leaving her locker wide open and the lock laying on the shelf inside.

Exhausted , Kali wanders back to the dorms. Shes been racing around all day and back and forth to the dorms most the night .
She had visited all the islands around Talos. Sat for awhile on the land bridge the wind has carved through the rocks and even climbed the stone stairs the Thorns have carved from the top down to the beach.

Nothing from Him... she didnt see Him in school either.
Kali sits awhile longer at the beach. The story He told her of Passion and the DE replays through her head.
How horrible to lose someone You care so much for. She had felt His guilt of the situation as He spoke. She tried to block it from her thoughts but it was too strong. She had tried to be a good friend to Stone and to listen to Him when He needed to talk.
And now He was talking of leaving. And not a word today from Him. She wondered if He was ok , if He had already left. And at the same time she felt the same feeling as she had before. The same guilt at not being a good enough friend to yet another person who came to her needing one.
The same guilt at running away when someone needed to talk .
" some healer I am I cause more pain then I help" she mumbles to noone but herself.
Rising she takes off from the beach and races to Founders , back to her Lion to spill her secrets again and know they stay safe.

The coolness of the light linen sheets are welcoming as Kali collapses into her bed. She glances over at Lightfall who has probibly been sleeping several hours by now.
Reaching over to her nightstand she grabs her headphones so as not to wake the sleeping girl and turns the stereo on.
The words pour through her and she catches herself several times singing aloud, quickly quieting herself again.

The bell signaling third hour Rikiti Physics is over and Kali storms out of class and down the hallway.
The almost constant smile is missing replaced by scowl and her usually sparkly onyx eyes now seem to smolder.

Up ahead she sees Stone standing with a few of His friends and quickens her pace to catch up.
As she approaches Him her temper flares. A side not many in St joes have seen is now in full force and going full speed at Stone.

A sudden shove is enough to jolt His attention altho her small push doesnt move Him

" Tank me? What the hell Stone! youre telling people You "tanked me " is that like saying You got some? Why dont you tell them the truth? Tell them we spent the night in Pocket D talking to a new student! Or was this the plan from the beginning? Take Kali out long enough to let the guys think You got some?? Did you honestly think I wouldnt hear people talking??
Or did You just think Oh its ok Kalis not smart enough to pick up on any talk going around?"

Kalis facial expression now changes to one of hurt as tears begin to slide down her cheeks.
Without saying anything more she turns and runs down the hall toward the outer doors.

"KALI WAIT!!!" Stoned yells as she runs down the hallway. He is about to follow but students who heard her yelling looked at him with disgust and wouldn't let him pass. He could allready heard whispers in the hallway about him having said it to their friend or how he was always a scumbag to girls. shruging off the nasty comments stone watches the only important thing left for him at this school disappear down the hallway.
