(( This is me being boastful about my new badge, feel free to leave any comments ya like, IC of course
))
Stopping on the way between classes, Jake entered the mail room. While he didn't normally get a lot of mail, he always liked to check to see if anything came. This time there was a large 8X10 envelope. Pulled it out of the box and closing the door, he looked over address.
"Hmm, it's from Hero Corps, hope it's not more stuff to fill out. Man, feels heavy, too." Jake mumbled to himself. Filling out paperwork is too much like homework, and he had more than enough of that!
Tearing open the top, he pulled out a single piece of paper. Opening it, he read...
Hero Corps
Atlas City
Dear Jake,
We have been watchful of your help among the Heroes of this city. Your name has come up on our reports from those who work for us many times as being "very helpful" many times. We would like to present this badge from us. For your help in healing the wounded, you are now an honorary "Doctor". To earn this badge at your age speaks highly of your commitment to your fellow heroes.
Thank you.

Jake was suprised. Sure, he liked to head out after classes and tag along helping the "real" heroes (or even some classmates who get themselves into trouble!), but he never realized how much he had done until now. Reaching into the envelope, he pulled out the small silver and gold button.
Turning to the others picking up mail, he said, "Hey look guys, I got a new badge! You may now call me Dr. Moon!" Jake laughed while fixing the new badge on his collar.
