Blind Rage

Sun beams crept into the window of Quad 3 stinging Eshva’s eyes open. Sitting up she stretched and began to untangle her hair around her horns. Frowning as she discovers a rather large lump had gotten knotted as result. She stood up and spotted Yulia’s short blond hair peeping from under her blankets. Quietly Eshva grabbed her toiletries and headed for the bathroom.

Eshva used a hand to wipe the steam off the mirror and frowned. She didn’t like her yellow eyes or the gruffness of her voice. It was like she was forever growling. She’d gone to Doc Syl about it but she didn’t see anything immediately wrong with her. Eshva looked down at the sink as she applied toothpaste to her toothbrush. He eyes returned to the mirror. No.. Eshva’s claws flew out as she spun around. Nothing. I must be seeing things there’s no way that could have been Kearen.. He is dead remember.

Eshva headed down to her. Her face was filled with horror and disgust. Students waved to her but she backed up way from them.. Since when were hellions allowed in the school! Eshva shook her head as she gruffly yelled. Her voice sounded of a mix of a roar and her voice.

GET OUT!! You don’t belong in here!

The hall way froze and some of the new students scurried away scared. Eshva glared back at the students. With a growl of annoyance she jumped up and out of a window in the hall way. Eshva headed to her dorm to change in to her patrol outfit.

Eshva hit the streets in few moments. Not wanting to see anymore hellions she headed to Talos Island. As she jumped out of the train station her eyes open up wide in disbelief. Hellions!! What the hell! Are they taking over? Eshva headed down claws came out in a furry. She slashed and fought them soon they were a pile on the ground.

Go back to the hell you came from

Eshva walked away. The pile of groaning Warriors were still trying to figure out what just hit them.

Eshva heard news from Stormy that there was a few new faces down at Pocket D. Good maybe I get away from the Hellions for a bit. She eyed another batch that were picking on a man with a interesting old relic

One moment I have to take care of something..

Eshva let a growl lose as she charged them. The Tsoo turned his head just in time to see the girl thrust her claws into the side if his arm. Yellows eyes glared into him as if they were judging his soul, Eshva sneered. With a twist of her wrist the claw turned in the mans flesh as a *pop* sounded from his shoulder, she repeated the same on the other side. The Tsoo fell to the ground and watched as she took care of the rest of the group. Brining her claws to her face she studied them but turned to the pile of Tsoo she flicked off the blood on to her faces, turn and headed towards Pocket D.

Standing in the group of teens, Eshva’s eyes scanned the room. It was almost every other person was a Hellion. Eshva growled but tried to ignore them. It was pocket D she really couldn’t do anything about it. They better not get too close.. She took a seat on the floor.

Glacial bounced into Pocket D. Wearing brown shorts and orange muscle shirt he couldn’t wait to show Eshy his new human skin. There they are! Glacial rushed up to the group and took a seat beside Eshy with a grin and waited for her to notice. This is going to be awesome! As her head turned in his direction her eyes flared violence as she sprang to her feet and her claws came flying out. Glacial reacted quickly backing up.

VILE Hellion! What did you do with my friend!

“Whoah woahoaaaa!”

“Eshy... Eshy hold on girl …. That is G” Stormy called out.

“Eshy, hey, hold up! Not when I'm squishy!”

That’s so not reaction I was looking for… ice up! Glacial focused and the human flesh that covered his body quickly melded in to ice as he slightly increased in mass. Eshva retracted her claws. Her eyes remained narrow at him as he walked closer towards her.

“Wow. You weren't kidding..”

That’s a evil costume.. Why would you dress up like them?!

“Eshy, I was just wearing shorts and a tank top. Did you ever go to the doctor like we talked about? ”

Yes... She took some blood tests. To find out what’s with my eyes and my voice

“Have you heard anything back from the doctor?”

Eshva crossed her arms and looked passed Glacial. Stormy took the chance to head over to Glacial. She leaned over and whispered.

“G.... something ain’t right with Eshy”

Glacial nodded. He jumped again as Eshva barked out.

That bloody bastard! What’s he doing here!!

I’ll freakin show him to show up here! She marched past Glacial towards the drow leaning on the wall smirking at her. Eshva didn’t let her claws out but she growled at drow who backed up in fear. She felt a hand on her shoulder as Glacial spun her around.

“Eshy? Hey, look here, babe. Esh! Eshesheshesh! Look at me, honey.”

WHAT!

“Here. Look. It's me. It's Glacial.”

It’s Freaking KEAREN!

Eshva pointed to the poor dark skinned man trembling on the floor.

“Noo, Esh. I can see the resemblance, but that's not him. See the ears? Nice, normal, human ears. Right?”

Eshva rolled her eyes. A new boy named Timothy Bastian leaned over to Stormy while giving Esh one confused face.

“Is she usually like this?”

“Nooo this is like way weird this aint like Eshy at all”

They both jumped a bit as Eshva started to flip out more then they thought.

Bloody Hell! It’s Kearen! YOU OUT! NOW!

“It's not Kearen, Esh. If it was I would've hucked him out into the void. I promise.”

Why can't you see that!! It’s Kearen! He's even got the freaking bullet hole in the back of his head!

“Maybe.. We should head to the umm dorms Esh? Rest a bit? Or least to the school?”

Stormy suggested with a hint of caution in her voice. Glacial again nodded.

“I think Stormy's got a good plan.”

“Eshy... hun... lets go see if there’s anything new in the commons? Maybe a new target for practice shots?”

Sure... save me from tearin him a new one...

The group headed towards the elevator just as Jason exited the doors. Seeing the group he let one of his big grins.

“Hello, Eshva.”

Much to his surprise Eshva glared at him with yellow eyes and shifted to just over his shoulder.

“Umm...Eshva?”

Why'd you bring HIM with you..

She jestured her hand to point just behind Jason. The group of teens turned to see nothing. Glacial’s facial expression became far more worried and tried to let Jason know there was something wrong with a minor swirl of his finger around the side of his head and pointed back at the elevator door.

“Hrm who? I didn't bring anyone.”

“Who... um... who's that, Eshy? I don't really recognize him. It's so dark in here.”

“Maybe he followed me?”

Freakin hellions are everywhere... I'm getting out of here

Pushing the button roughly Eshva rushed into the elevator and exited the Kings row entrance. I can’t believe how many there are.. Eshva eyed her surroundings carefully. Glacial caught up with her.

“Hey, Esh, hang up a sec. Me and Jay are going to walk you back to the dorms, okay? Keep those nasty Hellions away from you.”

Her eyes caught something moving in the shadows and her claws sprang out. Glacial jumped back a bit and waved his hands wildly.

“Claws IN. Claws go back IN!!”

I can take care of them my self.. if I see any

“C'mon, Esh. Let's walk niiice and slow toward the school, okay?”

With out warning she dashed towards a group of Circle of Thorns. Claws unleashed their furry. Glacial and Jason gave chase as they talked.

“Esh! Hey! You think you can knock her out without hurting her?”

“Siren's song will put her to sleep.”

“That'll do.”

Their eyes went wide as Eshva readied an attack on a civilian. Gaining a more speed Glacial used an ice slide to place himself between Eshva and the civilian.

“Esh! Listen for a sec!”

Jason opened his mouth. To her surpise no sound camed out of Jason’s mouth. ::Drozy.. getting sleepy.. why?:: The vibrations that Jason was albe to produce a series of harmonic octives that put people to sleep, other wise known as sirens song. Eshva eyes drooped and she swayed a bit. Just as she started to fall Glacial dove and caught her.

“And allllieoooup!”

A quick sling over his shoulder the group of students bolted to the school infirmary. There they laid Eshva on to a bed and Doc syl entered the room.

“Doc, Eshy's on drugs or something. She's acting friggin' psychotic. Doc, you might want to strap her in...”

Almost on cue Eshva awoke from the sirens song. Her eyes flared with anger as she unleashed her claws to attack Doc Syl. Glacial jumped to restrain her pushing her back on to the bed.

“Whoawaaahaaaa! No! Bad Esh! Jay! She needs a lullaby.”

The soothing vibration of Sirens song again was directed at Eshva. Within moments she sleeping again. Doc Syl stood there for a moment in shock as Glacial let out a yawn.

“Oh my.....”

“Yeah. Straps. She's been acting weird for the last few days. Not this weird, though.”

Doc Syl readied the restraints and fastened Eshva to the bed. Jason and Glacial started attempting to explain what they had seen.

“She's seeing Hellions everywhere.”

“Not just Hellions, though. Her old enemies too, Kearen, for example”

Frowning Doc Syl pulled out Eshva’s medical file and flipped threw a few pages.

“She came in yesterday for her eyes and voice. I couldn’t see anything physically wrong with them. There’s nothing wrong with her sight nor is there any redness in her throat to indicate any sickness. Has she ever talked like that before?”

Both students shook threw heads no. Glacial frowned something clearly wasn’t sitting right as he de iced and returned to having normal human skin.

“With her regeneration, it probably would be silly to check for puncture wounds, huh? Like from a hypodermic needle?”

“No. There’s no way she heals far to fast for that. Eshva can't even scar.”

“This coincides way too closely to her meeting Mila for me to feel comfortable…”

Jason gave Glacial a funny look at the word Mila. As he pondered a bit, his dad was a very well known chemist. Maybe he could suggest some things. He piped up.

“It'd have to be pretty potent though, or her immune system would kill it off, wouldn't it?”

“No her immune system works different then her healing abilities...”

“So it might be some kinda' bug?”

“Or a drug..”

A slight groan distracted the group in their thought. Eshva’s head turned to the side, Glacial gulped and bit his lip as her eyes opened onto the restraints. She wiggled her wrists a bit and gave a confused look as she looked about the room.

What's this! Doc! ..... Glacial that you?

“Yeah, Eshy. It's me. I'm sorry. You're not feeling well right now. You nearly sliced up a civilian.”

I would Never!

“No, you wouldn't, not if you were feeling right. I couldn't let you do that, so I brought you here. But we're going to get to the bottom of whatever's making you act like this, okay? So just stay calm, try to relax.”

Eshva’s eyes narrowed just past Jason. Jason shifted uneasily as he tried to move from out of her stare. Doc syl began to get info from Eshva.

“Eshva what have you been in contact with lately say since Saturday”

I saw my sister. She gave me my journal back.

“Where'd you put the journal, Eshy?”

Glacial’s eyes widened.

My journal? I keep on me.

“Can I see it?”

Eshva let out growl. The hairs on everyone in the room stood up on end.

“Eshy, I'm your friend. Do you trust me?”

"Fine... Is on my back..

“Gloves Alex”

Jason warned.

“No need.”

In a flash Glacial was ice once again. Jason flashed a grin.

“Ahh, right.”

“Sorry if this is a little cold, Esh”

Doc Syl slowly began to un strap one arm.

“Okay Eshva I’m gonna unstrap you..”

Glacial rushed over to stop her.

“Nononono! Bad idea, doc.”

“Uh...I'm going to stay away from that thing. I can't get chemicals on me. It's uh… I'll tell you another time.”

Jason backed up to the far corner of the room. Doc Syl crossed her arms.

“She's on her back how do you plan on gettin it”

“Lullaby.”

Jason again lets the ultra sonic waves that composed of Sirens song towards Eshva. Once more she fell fast asleep. Doc Syl finished removing the strap and rolled Eshva on to her side. Using his iced up hand he patted Eshva down locating the her journal, once found he pulled it out and immediately saw a white dust fall off the book. Doc Syl rolled the girl back on to her back and refasten the strap.

“Oh, Jesus. Don't touch that. There's a dust on it. Jay, you might not even want to be in here in case it's in the air.”

Doc Syl rushed to put a mask on and some gloves. She took the book from Glacial and put it an air locked case. Jason took Glacials advice and left the room wishing everyone a good night. He looked at Eshva again and frowned ::Get better soon.::

Doc Syl frowned as the phone rang and Eshva re awoken. Doc Syl just left the room. Glacial crossed his arms

“Mila poisoned your journal, Esh. Now do you believe what I had to say about her?”

“I swear you have it out for her!! Some one has to start being nice to her and show her friend ship or she'll NEVER TURN around!”

Glacial looked a little baffled and an uneasy silence came between the two. Eshva turned her glaze to the titles on the roof and taped her head against the bed. For a few moments Glacial paced up the length of the room until Eshva spoke.

“Have you seen Rin yet?”

“Not today. Why?”

“Just something..”

Eshva bit her lip. Where is he.. He should be back soon… Wensday.. remember that’s the date we agreed on if he wasn’t back from that ritual.. Doc Syl returned to the room with a grin.

“We got it. t was a drug, combined with a little magic targeted at moments that Eshva experience high levels of a rage. So emotions like Anger, Frustration, Fear and anything really touchy would trigger it. I have a huntch that your yellow eyes and growl is something you get when your very angry Eshva.. Is this true?”

Um the growl I know is.. I didn't know my eyes changed color too.. That’s all in my past..

“Once your voice returns to normal I'm sure the drug has lost its affect on you. In the meantime, I think you should stay here.”

Eshva let out a groan. Bed ridden again! Glacial came over to her bedside and gave her a noogie and smirked.

“Sorry, Esh. But I'll visit you every day, I promise. I'll come see you tomorrow morning, okay? Bring you breakfast if you like. Scrambled eggs, bacon, wheat toast? Just the way you like? If I can get my CAT results in before then, maybe I'll even be able to have breakfast with you. Just depends on whether or not I actually have working guts.”

Eshva smiled and rested her head against the pillow. She bid glacial good bye and closed her eyes.

Glacial had just walked off school grounds when his comm beeped. I need to find Mila. He flicked the comm to accept

“Glacial here.”

Mila’s scared voice rang clear on the other end, Glacial smirked as an idea formed.

“.... um... I'm sure you don't...”

“Mila? Hey. I need to talk to you. Esh is in trouble.”

“What! She is! What’s happening to her?”

“I don't know. She's been sick for days. Now she's unconscious. The doctors say they need a blood transfusion or something, but they can't find anybody with her blood type. Please, you've got to help. If anybody's compatible with her, it's you.”

“Oh my god… I killed her” Mila mutter very quietly over the comm. Glacial managed to make it out, and was glad that he had switched on the comm's recording feature as soon as he heard Mila's voice. Her tone shook over the comm. She sounded so scared.

“Okay! I'll be right there... um were do you want to meet?”

“By the entrance to Pocket D in King's Row. I'll wait for you there”

On an ice slide Glacial made his way there. This is for the best. Glacial’s eyes narrowed as the lights of Kings Row blurred by him. Jumping abruptly off his slide he leaned up against the truck, crossing his arms he waited for the little girl to show up. It didn’t take long before she appeared before him in a ripple of light and she fell to the ground just in front of him on her feet. She looked like a mess. Tears streamed down her face, her mask wasn’t even on her face exposing the veins that wear risen about her skin as bits of were a ugly green. Glacial was unfazed by her appearance.

“There’s something I need to tell you first.”

Glacial bent down and grabbed Mila’s shoulder and gave her a shake trying to pretend he was being sincere. But instead he was just making sure he had a good hold on her.

“What? What?”

“Before I knew her... Before I got to know her... I... drugged her journal. It was suppose to make her see things not kill her! I never wanted her to die... brought the reverse powder... I don't want her to die! I’m sorry… so sorry..”

Mila fell to her knees and broke out into tears. Glaical still kept his hold on her and picked up Mila rather brusquely back on to her feet.

“Mila, Mila, shhhh. It's okay. Can I have the powder? I can move faster than you.”

Noding her head she reached behind her and pull out a little pastic bag of greenish power and handed it over to Glacial. He nodded and put the little bag in to a pouch on his belt.

“Oh, thank you. It's okay.”

Mila relaxed a bit.

“You have skin! That’s awesome! I almost thought you wouldn't believe me”

Glacial picked her up for a hug. She was surprised at the chill she felt. With her head up against him, she couldn't see that Glacial had turned to ice. You're not going to slip away this time. Mila lets a shiver out and she pulled her head back to try and look at him.

“Its kinda cold you wanna let go..”

Glacial’s head flew forward striking the top of Mila’s head. A blood stop formed as Mila tried to look up at him again. Her pupils dilated and her eye lids shut and she feel limp in his arms. Tossing her up and over his shoulder Glacial readied an ice slide and ziped of to the hospital, his face deadpan -- he wasn't in shock with grief or relief. He was just a hero on the job. While en route, Glacial he turned on his comm, and notified the PPD that he has a criminal restrained, and that she would be able to be picked up at the Kings Row Hosptial when she was discharged. Glacial filcked off his recorder and hurried back to the school to give Doc Syl the green powder.

Lost Love

Its Wesday night and still no word from Rin. Eshva looked up at the night sky a very bad feeling fell over her. God guide me. Guide me to him She tried to hide the misty eyes as she told Kali to tell glacial that she was sorry she left with out him. I may already be too late.. The cool air flowed threw her hair as she headed to the hollows to begin questioning Circle of the Thorns. She had to find him. Hours passed by as she went threw grouping and groupings of Circle. None of them had any answers for her. This was taking to long. Emotions built up with her mind as she fought with her self to keep control. She kept purging on to find him.

Eshva took in a deep breath she stood on a pile of Rubble in the hollows watching the sunrise. All night... nothing not a damn thing! A tear fell from her eyes. Damn it! Eshva gripped the edge of a rock. Her hair fell in front of her face. I knew I shouldn’t have let him go alone… Remembering the promise they made to each other. Neither of us have to be alone again Eshva launched her self and seemingly flew to Kings row, and eventually found her way to Founders Falls.

Finally! Eshva had found something. A clue, a location within moments she found her self in side one of the Circles lairs. The place was littered Runes and strange green crystals that lined the walls. The sound of Eshva foots steps echoed quietly as she walked along the winding hallways. Far to empty… Eshva tried to listen for any sounds and found none. Dirt fell from a crack of the tunnel causing her to jump a bit. Jeez.. She brought her hand up to her chest and clamed her nerves. The mystical sounds of muttering caught her ear and sparked some hope. I might not be too late! Bolting in the direction of the sound Eshva soon stopped in her tracks.

Her eyes went wide at the sight of the large room. A large crystal hung from the top, a magic circle with runes engraved into the floor were lit, The lead mage held his hands high as other bowed outside of the circle and Behemoth Overlord stood proud watching the ceremony taking place. A yellow and green glow floated up from the ground were Eshva’s eyes rested upon Rin’s twitching body which just above glowed a white light. Stunned she gathered up the strength to interrupt the ceremony. She charged into the room guides started to shot their crossbows at her. The lead mage hissed at the girl.

“You’re too late! Nothing can stop the second ceremony you’ve condemn his soul to be alone forever!”

The glow faded as Rins body dropped like a rock to the top stone alter that lay below him. Of all the people she’d saved from the clutches of the Circle of Thorns; Rin was the first that didn’t move after. No… Eshva’s eyes fell to the limp body. A pain in her chest developed nothing like she ever felt before. Above a white glow hovered the beams of light seemed to be uplifted as the ritual was stopped.

“What have you done to him!”

Eshva felt the rage build up as her eyes changed yellow and tears streamed down her face. Control, Control! Eshva slammed her eyes shut. The lead mage muttered an incantation at her sending her flying as the earth began to shake underneath of her. Fire flew out of a behemoth’s mouth towards the girl burning her skin. Regaining her footing she just managed to avoid the spikes of earth that shoot up out of the ground. The sounds of whizzing of Guides arrows zipping by her ears she was massively outnumbered. Eshva turned and ran and took cover behind a rock formation as an arrow struck her in her arm. Once behind she ripped the arrow out of her left arm and after quick deep breaths she soon faced a rushing mob of Guides with their stick swords. Eshva’s claws shot out of her fists as she unleashed her furry on the group of guides. She made short work of them aiming for their chests she punctured a small section of their lungs leaving them breathless. The ground rumbled under her feet. Eshva failed to notice, she still didn’t have a full sense of touch yet. Four large spikes came up from the earth below piercing her flesh. One shot threw her leg, one caught her right arm, one grazed her front and the other managed to get her foot. The spikes retracted and Eshva fell to the ground for a moment as her regen abilities began to work fast on the wounds.

The light brightened in alarm seeing Eshva injured. It flew till it was hovering above Eshva. The Mages spoke inactions at the light trying to regain their hold on it but they were too late. The light shot a beam at Eshva and surrounded her. Eshva looked up as her eyes changed from a yellow to a bright red. Eshva felt the light and stood looking around her in amazement. She could see but not like normal she could see the threads of fabric on the robes on the mages. The light retracted the beam of light on Eshva as she took a step and felt the ground below her. Taking another step she also felt the ground under her shoe. I can feel? The glow lingered on Eshva’s body as she resumed her fight heading towards the group of Earth mages. The ground began to rumble as she ran towards them. Dodging the earth spikes as they sprang forth from the ground she made her way to them as she broke into action. The Behemoth shoot fire at the white and black blur as she spun and flipped slowly taking out all his mages. The overlord grew impatient as he pushed one of his underlings’ aside, motioned for them to get the body out of here and let a rain of fire pour from his mouth. The burns healed quickly as Eshva eyed to Behemoths running towards the motionless body that laid sprawled on the alter. A swift push on the ground sent Eshva flying over the Overlords head towards Rin. Knees up and claws forward she landed directly into the front of one of the Behemoths chest knocking him out and sending her claws deep in to her chest. Spinning around she sent a mental mind blast knocking the other over and a few quick swipes it too also lay on the ground. The Overlord bellowed at the Eshva.

“Fool! He is met for a higher purpose! You’ve ruined everything! We’ve tracked this one since he was young!”

“Lies! I won’t let you defile his body for you’re wicked plots!”

Eshva soared into the air claws at her side. The beast eyes flared with fire as he waved his mighty wings to attempt to blow the girl back while sending more fire towards her. Eshva landed right behind the beast and swiped her claws at the flesh above the large hoof. It swatted at her with a large hand, again jumping to avoid the blow Eshva landed her claws in the upper back of the beast. Using them as her hold she pushed her weight on them dragging them down the length of its back. It cried out in pain as it shook free of the claws. Speedily she ran between its legs and attempted to slice open its knee. The light flew directly in front of it’s face blinding it. A few more moments the overlord fell to the ground defeated.

Eshva fell to the ground. Get up have to check on Rin. She struggled to get to her feet and quickly made her way to the alter were Rin lay. The light staying high paused a moment, the beams turned to a lightish blue and seemed to droop. Eshva knelt beside his body and touched his face. Cold.. oh god no… She lowered her fingers to check for a pluse. She already knew he was gone. Memories flooded threw her mind; the dance, helping him with the Entity, their spot in steel canyon, watching rocko fight beside her, going for pizza and milkshakes, waking up to him after her coma, their kisses all of it. She let out a cry of anguish and hugged his body.

"Come back!!.. Please, please come back.. We promised… we promised.."

Her body trembled as she held him close. The light floated down as if to try and comfort her but something stopped it. It paused and then the light dissipated in to nothing. Eshva clutched on for a few moments but it felt like hours. Realizing she needed to get his body out of here she mustered up the strength to carry him out of the cave.

The moment she came out of the cavern her knees buckled and they hit the ground. Her comm. buzzed to life. As it turns out there were a few people looking for her. She crawled over to Rin’s body and got to her knee’s and clutched the body again. You’re safe now..
