Saint Joseph School

Lucia dropped lightly to the ground, her hair mussed from the flight over to the island. There were lots of people here already, which made her happy. Kris must be very excited. She looked around for her roommate, and spotted her, talking to Arrow Wraith. She waved excitedly.

"Hey Kris! Sorry I'm late. Had to pick up some snacks!" She set the bag full of chips and dip down near the other food, and flopped down to stretch out on the grass, enjoying the nice summer weather.

Tony, be nice, okay? For me," Kris asked her boyfriend. "She and I had our thing. It's over. Besides we all have our good weeks and bad ones. Look at my life!"

She smirked and kissed his cheek than turned to Lucia.

"Lucia! I'm so glad you made it, hon! This is really turning out to be a thing, huh," she exclaimed before looking back to Johnny,nodding approval. "Now we get to have teenaged lives! Wooooo wooooo!!!"

Johnny excitedly finished the call to Amethyst and then looked around, not really sure of who to approach.

Kris is the only one here who I really know at all. Well, I know Angel, or at least I used to. She's this completely different person now.

Seeing her fellow bookworm looking around a bit lost, Kris waved Johnny over. She really missed hanging with Johnny, and remembered when they first met under the Yellow. It was sort of cute, and geeky, and certainly funny, now. She really hoped all of these people would stay in her circle of friendship!

"Hey! Come sit! I hardly ever see you, anymore, JD!"

Smiling, Johnny sits down next to Kris, nodding to Tony.

"So, whatcha been studyin' lately, Johnny? I heard you were doin' some really serious research afterhours in the library, and stuff," the redheaded teen commented after her inquiry. "Anything I can help with? Or am I too late?"

Kris snuggled backwards, into Tony, feeling safe, secure, and very at ease.

Not expecting the question, Johnny looks furtively over at Sapphire Angel.

"Oh, um... that research's done. I just wish that I could have done that and helped you with the problem you were having. I'm sorry, Kris."

"But hey! I think this party is a great idea. I was out of town, so I missed the dance. It's good to get out with friends."

"Well, my problem required a nuclear reactor, and almost getting some severe punishment from the school and authorities," Kris shrugged. "But, yeah! We so would have loved having you and Amy there. The four of us, You, Amy, Tony, and I need to go out and bust knee-caps, sometime! Or maybe have a few more socials, like this, at the very least."

"I'm practically my own magical nuclear reactor," Johnny sighed, but quickly brightened at the suggestion of the double-date.

"I'd be all for that, and I'm sure that Amy would, too!"

"Good deal! Tony, here, is usally a weekend warrior, but he's a fun partner in crime fighting," she grinned. "You and Amy still going strong then? I haven't spoken to you guys since a few days before me and Terra Volta had our meeting of the minds."

JD grins as a blush comes over him. "Yeah, she's the best!"

Turning his puppy-dog eyes back to the city, he wistfully says, "I hope that she gets here soon."

Tony sees the look on Johnny's face and whispers into Kris's ear,"Is that the look I get when I look at you?". He grins as Kris reddens slightly before answering....

Turning to Tony, Kris smiles and whispers back, still looking up to him, "Yeah! Just a bit... More captivating. That's me. Your captive."

Giggling she looks back to Johnny. It's easy to see how he feels. She doesn't even need to open her empathy to him to read him. It's sweet, and makes her feel good to know someone else is right there with her.

As Soulsaver wrapped his free arm around Angel's waist and kissed her on the cheek, the lovesick teenage girl smiled brightly and begins to beam.

"Danny!"

She turns around and hugs Soulsaver tight, as if missing him terribly so. She holds his body close, not wanting to let go.

"I was hoping that you would be here."

Angel nuzzles her cheek onto his chest, smiling, and finally happy. The others have their conversations around her and Danny, but she can only seem to focus on her former boyfriend and the potential of starting a brand new relationship with him, only better this time.

Kris looked around, and saw Lucia alone. A sudden pain of guilt and wanting to help flooded her. She needed to do something about it, and her eyes settled on the food. Fortunately, her stomache made a very audible protest to the plates being empty. Yes! That was it!

"Hey, guys? I'm hungry! How about all of you," she asked, hinting to the spread they had all contributed to.
