"I'll remember that," Kris smiled. "So... I know it isn't considered any of my business, but extenuating circumstances dictate otherwise, and I'll be happy to share that with you in a moment, but first the big question. How are things with you and Lucia? Just friends? Working on something? Decided to be something?"
"The reason I ask, is that she and I have been through alot, Jason. It would do terrible things to me, if she were to be hurt. And... I'm not entirely certain what would happen if that did occur."

A paper flutters down from the sky, landing on the ground next to the pair. Two more sheets follow, then six, then twenty. Siren hurls herself through the air towards the ground, barely stopping in time to prevent injury to herself. She gasps, clutching her side, as if she has been flying far beyond her ability to do so comfortably, and her wild eyes have dark bags under them. She is clutching the papers she hasn't already dropped to her breast, and her pupils dialate as she sees Kris.
"Kris!! Kris!!" She shouts, unaware (or uncaring) of the hour. "Kris! We must go at once! There are- terrible things! Kris please!" She begins sobbing, she looks like a wreak, "I am scared Kris! We have to go now!!"

W-what? Whoa! Hold on, Siren," Kris said her own tone starting to mimic Siren's alarm."What's wrong? Do we need to get reinforcements? Oh, God! Help!"

A hooded figure moved unseen across the roof top of the Boy's Dorm. Silently it moved towards the edge of the building and paused at the sound of voices from the commons below. The figure leaned over as if trying to see who would be out at this late hour when something flew past it at high speed. In the moonlight the form of Winged Siren flew down towards the two forms down below papers coming loose from her grip, "Kris!! Kris!!" She shouts, "Kris! We must go at once! There are- terrible things! Kris please!" She begins sobbing, "I am scared Kris! We have to go now!!" At this outburst the figure stood frozen, then pulled it's hood back and stared down at the three. "....Kris?",Tony said to himself.

Trying to regain her composure, Siren says in the most calm voice she can manage;
"Kris. I need you to help me, you have been infected with a disease called 'Griers Sydrome', and Kris, if you do not get treated, you will die." She offers her hand, "I belive I have found a doctor who can help you...please Kris, come with me..I do not want you to die!"

Kris looked to Jason, then to Siren. Her mind sorted the emotions, and began trying to assert hers back into control. She could handle two, and from earlier in the evening, she knew she could manage three, but the entirety of Paragon City? Suddenly, the world seemed bigger than t ever had, and she felt so very alone. She knew if she were telepathic that she would have mentally screamed for him to come to her aid. But, what she didn't know was that she was transmitting to him her emotional desire for his help.
"Y-you know the name of the doctor? Johnny said I should talk to Sapph."

Kris calmed slightly, when touched. Jason's emotional state was much more serene than that of Siren, and his contact offered a near direct link to his emotional state.

Jason did a double take as the figure faded into view, and recognized Tony from Pocket D. "Hey, glad you're here," Jason noticed how Kris had calmed when he touched her, and started drawing some conclusions. Hoping he was right, he guided Kris over to Tony "Hold onto her, and keep yourself relaxed for a bit." Jason faced Tony and indicated the frantic Siren with his eyes, "I need to take care of this, or, unless I miss my guess, Kris is going to get worse."
Jason turned to Siren, and took her arm gently, but with fingers on the pressure points of her elbow so he'd get her attention, and guided her off a bit from where Kris and Tony were. Using what control he had over sonics, he started a subsonic lull that would hopefull help soothe the dstraught girl. Speaking in calm tones, he drew Siren slightly away from the couple. "Siren, you need to calm down some. Being this upset is upsetting Kris, and making things worse. If she's sick, we'll get her help, but we," He indicated Kris, Tony and himself, "don't know what's wrong." Then, in an effort to maybe get Siren to split her attention away from Kris to him, and hopefully some of the fear, anxiety and urgency that Siren was feeling, he looked Siren in the eyes. "Sometimes, I'm not the sharpest guy around, so could you slow down a bit and explain it to me. I'd really like to help too."

Kris turned to Tony, and latched onto him. She could feel his protectiveness, and it felt good. It felt stable. Although, she could feel his slight alarm and anxiety. She needed to tell him.Arrow Wraith wrote:What she was doing out there at this hour with some other guy didn't matter to him at that moment....Kris needed him that was all that mattered. Tony moved to her side and faded into view. "I'm here, Kris"
"Tony? Promise to stand by me, if I tell you something," she asked.

"I... I'm not well, and it was never a metal illness in the traditional sense," she began. "What I'm trying to say is... *sigh* ...I- I have Grier's Syndrome. It's a very bad disease. It's the AIDS of the teletransmitting community, only it isn't contagious. If I don't find a doctor who is trained in this illnes..."
Large tears welled up in Kris' eyes. The sort of tears she cried for Lycia, before the girl's resurrection.
"I don't want to die... There's so much we have left to do!"
