If you have to ask then you know the answer.

don't think of it as hate.

think of it as lofty intentions gone horribly awry.

/taps clipboard thoughtfully.

I suppose. DO try not to make too much of a mess? Although I hear you'll be spending most of your free time in detention so I suppose I don't have to worry.

/chucks you in Quad 11 with the inmates.

To whom it may concern:

While I have enjoyed attending Saint Joseph School for over a year now and value the care and education offered, I feel that my current housing situation is a detriment to my ability to take the best advantage of my enrollment here. For the last month, my new roommates and I have had extreme difficulty getting along despite my best efforts to make peace with them. Their constant feuds overflow to involve our other roommate and me, and they also tease me of their own accord. I do not agree with their lack of care for academic success, their lack of respect for women, and their possible involvement with illicit substances. The constant stress has affected my studies and my quality of sleep. It is a negative environment and I humbly request to be reassigned. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Anthony Kite
Tony shrugged as he dropped off the letter and slouched out of the office. Sure it was mostly bullshit, fluff, and the pot calling the kettle black and all that. And it might result in room searches and being labeled as a snitch... But if it got him moved, it was totally worth it.

Dear Mr. Kite;

Thank you for your patience while the administration of St. Joseph's has reviewed your request for a change of dorm assignment. As I am sure you appreciate, while we receive many requests for reassignment, we consider only those in which the needs of the individual student cannot be met through mediation. We do not wish to encourage the student body into the perception that musical beds are possible. Every effort is made to match roommates to ensure a cooperative atmosphere for all.

However, we do not believe we are infallable. Upon review by the housing staff, we believe we can accomodate your request for reassignment as your scholastic endeavours are of paramount importance to your continued success both here at St. Joseph's and in life. Effective immediately, you are transferred to Quad Eight, located on the second floor of the boys' dormitory wing. We expect this will meet with your approval as all three residents in that quad are doing well in their studies and should provide the atmosphere you seek. Please fill out the attached paperwork to this letter when you have transferred your belongings and return it to the office to finalise your change of residence.

If you have any questions or concerns with this assignment, please contact the Housing Staff during the hours of 9:30am to 1:00pm Monday to Friday.

With regards;

Sister Mary Esther
St Joseph School

Some time later, Quad 8 find a piece of paper assigned on their door. It reads:

TONY KITE WETS THE BED

Cammi drops off her application for a dorm off, which probably should have been done a long long time ago..

(( oops! and some one should update the roster here too. The Wiki is up to date.))

I've added a link to the Wiki version in the initial post. Maybe this can be one of the first "School Setting" threads we discontinue? I'll leave that to our new CW to decide.

We will now be handling all dormitory assignments on the wiki at its newly up-to-date article: http://sjs.vidrar.net/sjs/wiki/Dormitories

If you'd like a dorm, simply head over to the talk page and put in your request, or, if the wiki baffles you, PM me.

((Double work, FTW!

I know this is a small thing - but I'd miss the "Can I have a dorm?" chat. And how people IC gripe about who they get stuck with. And we have a whole lot of people now off probation, and I don't know if anyone is really requesting dorm assignments.

So if you meet the requirements and would like to have a dorm room - request away.))
