Jaygo flowed back into the pulsing mass of the crowd and watched Mimi fly away. Thumping bass filled the club as all the partygoers danced haphazardly to the music.. Jaygo looked up and saw DJ Zero hovering just off the podium, his arms swaying, almost like he was conducting the orcastra of bodies swirling around him. Jaygo stepped back out of the crowd to the edges of the dance floor. To where the people like him were scattered. Dangerous people who seemed to hover just outside of the flock, waiting for one to venture out alone.

He wasn't worried about sheep tonight, his mind was on the hunter. One particular hunter to be exact. Mimi had described him as best as she could, but she was in no condition to give a truely rational description. Fear coated her words, and shone in her eyes. Even now as Jaygo watched her, she seemed almost preoccupied with watching her back, as if a blade was poised there. Jaygo had seen the look before, she was scared, whoever had done this was good. The usually Unwavering Mimi was having doubts about her abilities, doubt that could get someone killed when it mattered most. No one deserved that, especially not Meems. She was the heart and soul of the school, one of the few people Jaygo respected at St. Joe's. She was his friend, whether she knew it or not, and Jaygo takes care of his friends.....

Surveying the few people standing outside the crowd, Jaygo finds that none of them are tracking Mimi as she flies across the club. He didn't figure it would be easy, but he could hope. He looked around a bit trying to get his bearings, Heroes, Zero, aahh Villains. He deftly moved along the walls towords the exits marked fot the Rogue Isles, and the lounge that adjoined it. More than a few of the regular patrons eyed him wearly, but Jaygo wasn't in the mood for witty banter with second rate thugs, he was after a true villainr. An assasin that killed without qualms, one that got dangerously close to killing his friend. That couldn't happen again, Jaygo wouldn't allow it.

Seeing his goal Jaygo veered suddenly to the left, making a beeline for the bar at the back of the lounge. Sam the bartender looked up and gave him a quick once over. ' Shouldn't you be over there with your doo gooder friends, kid?' His tone was neutral, but it was obvious he wasn't happy about the hero in his area. Jaygo stepped up and sat on a bar stool, which squeaked heavly. the bar smelled like stale beer and wood cleaner

' Not tonight. Tonight I'm here..' Jaygo looked around, making sure no one was in earshot. ' for some information.' Jaygo leaned back a bit. He knew the ritual. the barkeep would play stupid. He pulled out a small coin, old and worn, and blazingly gold. Sam's eyes lit up alightly before dimming again.

'What can I help you with, son' He said with a smile

Jaygo retuened the smile as he slid the coin across the counter ' I'm looking for someone.. he is most likely a silent type.. probably loner.. assassin. caries an ornate sword.. you'll know him when you see him' Sam nodded and palmed the coin

'Should I even ask why you want with this fella'?' Sam asked returning to polishing the worn counter.

Jaygo thought about this for a second he didn't think a guy like this would be scared of a possible threat, but then again, no need to broadcast my intentions. ' Lets just say I have something for him.. kind of a surprise.. I'd appriciate it if he didn't know I was asking about him.' Sam nodded his understanding. Jaygo smiled thinly and stood. Nothing to do now but wait. He spied a table in the corner filled with headstrong Council toughs. One chair was open, and Jaygo took his oppertunity quickly. His approach was instantly noticed, and they all stood, ready for anything

'Hi guys.' Jaygo sat at the suddenly empty table, stunning the toughs, who thought for sure they were gonna get to pound the blond kid into snot. Disapointed they walked away, shoving several ravers out of the way asthey went. Jaygo leaned the chair back a bit. might as well get comfy, this could take a while
