Saint Joseph School

OOC Update – July 2009 - i15

Now eighteen and about to enter her senior year at Saint Joseph School, Vesper has turned a serious eye towards college. You’ll likely catch her thumbing through some brochures and pamphlets here and there. Two things worry her, though. She wonders about the mutant factor, and will likely avoid looking seriously at any institution in a place small enough not to have a significant non-normal population. She also knows that she can’t afford it and is hoping for a scholarship or internship to help pave the way.

Of course, the biggest news in her life is her engagement to Jacob Carpenter, but Ves has been downplaying it to most people. She answers most questions about it by saying that it’s a long way off. They’re waiting until after she graduates from high school, at least, so she’s not making any plans as of yet.

Unfortunately, the engagement may be putting a mild strain on her friendship with Sam. However, the two still hope to one day be successful in their attempt to get mugged.

You're WAY too young to get married. I still totally plan on being that person who stands up at your wedding and objects, you know at that part where the official guy or girl says "if anyone objects, speak now or forever hold your peace" - that's the part I'm gonna make a scene at, but it's only on account of I care, seeing as you've been my BFF the entire time I've been at SJS.

I'm real glad we met, bud. I know we'll stay in touch.
