I am going to start another round of purging the memberlist in September.
I'll follow the same procedure as before.
Thanks!

Just a reminder-- I'm going to start a purge next week.
This will mean 0-post logons older than 60 days will be deleted.
All logons that do not currently appear on our rosters will either be deactivated or deleted, with exceptions made case-by-case.
Please let me know if you have a logon you want preserved.
After this, I'm going to start looking through the Student Information forum with an eye to moving older, forgotten ones into a seperate archive.
When phpBB releases the newest stable edition, we will have subforums. When that happens, all the older Student Profiles who aren't students anymore will get shoved in a subforum. Until then, they'll be archived in a hidden forum.
Again, I am open to suggestions about old PCs who deserve a place of honor amongst the NPCs.

The purge is starting. I have only heard from a couple people about preserving a logon. So here we go.

The purge is done. That was quick!
Next up, I'll be looking through the Student Information forums and cleaning those out.

I will be purging the memberlist during January. This will include a full purge of everyone not currently in the group as well as people who are removed at the January 1st and January 10th cutoffs for merging and updating forum backstories.
Anyone who would like to maintain a forum account who does not currently qualify for one will need to request it via PM to me.
Thanks!

Okay, the purge draws near.
So far, I have heard from the following about maintaining a forum account. These requests are granted.
Ethereala
Mojo the Monkeyboy
Eric Copper
Jasmine St Cloud
Psyrift
Glacial Mass
Lupine Lad
If you have an inactive character and would like to keep an active forum account, let me know. All others will be deactivated or deleted.

One more time, with feeling!
We've got another memberlist purge coming. It will start in a couple weeks, nearer to the end of February.
Just like always, you can PM me a request if you want to keep your forum access, but do not have a character in SJS.

It's that time again... time to clean out the forums member list a bit!
There are two different things we can do with accounts: delete or deactivate. I'm going to take a moment to explain the difference.
When an account is deleted, the posts associated with the account will
not be deleted. The posts will remain as they are. The user name from the account will be left on the post, but the link to the person's profile will vanish because the profile no longer exists. It is not possible to undo an account deletion. If the character returns, a new account will have to be created, independent of the old posts. (Please note that all accounts listed for deletion in the list below have five or fewer posts.)
When an account is deactivated, all posts remain exactly as you'd see them now. They even keep the link to the profile. However, the account will no longer show up under the
Member List. Also, the player will no longer be able to log in with the account. Additionally, deactivation is reversible: upon request, a deactivated account can easily be re-activated. Once reactivated, the account can be used again like normal.
Thus, the only accounts that should remain active are those for active characters, those for players who should continue to have access even though they don't have an active character, and those for characters that are very likely to be active again in the near future. If you don't meet those criteria, then please let us deactivate your account so that we can clean the member list up. With all the former members in it, it makes it much harder for people to use.
Following are the accounts that are slated for deletion:
Following are the accounts that are slated for deactivation:
If I've listed your account for deletion or deactivation but you'd rather it be kept active, please send me a PM by June 15. Such requests will generally be honored.

Accounts have been pruned as indicated in the previous post. If you'd like a deactivated account re-activated at some point in the future, just let a member of SC know. Thanks!
