Hi I'm Kalista (or as most call me Kali ) Jade . I am 16 years old . Things use to be normal for me. I was an average kid growing up in a small farm community. Then puberty hit.... Mom always said it'd be hard but gawd I didn't think She meant it'd be this hard. She said thered be changes .. girls changes ya know? Well then when i satrted changing She freaked and sent me to all these Doctors. First thing was the spots... They're only on my face a little bit but she was sure things were real bad. Doctors all told her I was fine they would prolly fade away. But then other things started happening. Dad said stop worying everythings fine the Dr told You everythings ok. But when I started healing people and , doing things to people i didn't like.... ( like throwing tenticles around them) well.... thats when things got worse. Mom kinda went off the deep end, she swore i was possessed ! I would wake up in the night to her praying over me with a candle and yelling Lord free my child..... not the best wake up call I assure you.
Anyways during one of her now frequent trips to the therapist , He suggested to dad and me maybe she would handle it better if I was sent away for awhile , and He referred Saint Joes school. Said there would be others like me here and maybe the fact it was a "religious" Institution , would set mom at ease a little bit.
So here I am , and i guess all I can do is blend in best as possible and hope this works. If it doesnt who knows where they will send me next ....

Character Update
Kalista Jade most commonly known in SJS as Kali , entered the school the end of January.
Kalis powers surfaced shortly after puberty causing alot of emotional problems for both her and her parents. The appearance of dark spots on her face during this transition making her very self concious during a period of bodily changes most girls look foreward to .
These changes have made her a quiet somewhat timid girl. Her Dark Empathic powers do cause her to be more emotional than most people
She had a hard time making friends at first because of this. Kali tends to be very unsure of herself which unfortunatly has caused some rifts in the friendships and relationships she has formed.
Recently Her parents turned Legal Guardianship of her over to St Josephs school causing her more uncertainties about herself and who she is.
But as she is nearing security level 50 after much hard training she is coming to grips with who and what she is.
She has started on a self awareness journey that will bring her life around full circle in some ways. Back to the happy smiling teen she wants so desperatly to be again

Kali sang quietly to the empty room she sat in.
She was glad to be back at school. Glad to be away from hospitals and Doctors and tests and machines.
Most of all she was glad everything ws ok now and she could see her friends again.
She wondered if anyone had missed her when she was gone.
It wasn't like she had made any attempt to be very friendly the last few months before she was away.
"Most teens go through some sort of depression Kali it's ok." Her mother had told her.
She had become so close to her mother this past year. it was weird at first. Getting to know her after never having known her before. And yet at the same time it was like she had always known her.
So much alike in so many ways.
But like most things in life , Kali had discovered you lose something when you gain.
She had lost her relationship with her father and step mother. Both were unable to accept the changes in her. Her father had tried, she would give him that much.
He had visited and tried desperatly. but in the end, it was just her mother and her.
That was ok. Kali could accept that. it hadn't been easy but she was handling things so much better now.
She had found a part of her family and a part of herself she hadn't even known existed before.
being at school part time was strange now too. Her class load was now split between St Joes and Paragon University. it made it somewhat difficult to keep up with school events but so far she was doing ok.
After the accident... the injuries caused by the bomb blast, she had managed to keep up partially on her school work for St Joes but her college prep classes were way behind .
It was suggested maybe she hold off this semester and return to St Joes full time until she had healed fully.
On her bed she sat and sang the verse again quietly.
it would be strange being back, but she was happy.
