Seacliff School File #5648

Name: Brianna "Bri" Landers
Age: 17
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 122 lbs
Hair: Long, blonde
Eyes: Green

Powers: The ability to manipulate the energy in her body in various ways, including concussive blasts. Note: Suitable for special programs.

History: Ms. Landers is the only daughter of a prominent small airplane salesman outside of Boston. She grew up wanting for nothing, and seems to have come to expect it. Very little is known about when her powers manifested as her father seems to have spent a great deal of money to cover it up. Ms. Landers began attending Seacliff at the age of nine and quickly rose among the ranks of students. While no percise behavior problems can be defined, Ms. Landers seems to be the "Alpha Female" of the "in" crowd. She is very popular and tends to look down on the other students not part of her inner circle, looking out for herself first and foremost.

Note: Ms. Landers was not involved in the incident at Seacliff. She was found uninjured in her room at the other end of the dormitory. She continues to insist that she has been greatly emotionally affected by the tragedy, despite the fact that neither she nor her close friends were harmed in any way. She appears to be more focused on the fact that she must go to a new "freak" school and her friends may not be following.

OOC: Okay, I've been kicking around the idea of playing the typical girl I really didn't like in high school. This is the head cheerleader/homecoming queen "alpha female" that seems to be at every school. Think Cordelia from the first few seasons of Buffy. She's concerned with herself and her reputation and her stuff. Her friends come in close second. After that, her plans are to graduate high school and marry some rich handsome guy who will provide for her for the rest of her life.

That, or become a model or actress.

Franky wanders past Brianna's locker.

"221, 222, 223, 225.....Hey, wait a damn minute...."

She peers at the locker numbers and then back down at the paper in her hand.

"Ok, screw it."

She tapes up a piece of paper on locker number 225. It reads:

Congrats Bri. Nice tape. Welcome to cheersquad. I won't stuff your uniform in your locker so you can come down and grab it from the gym tomorrow. Hope you like pyramids.

I11 Update:

Brianna's time at Saint Joe's has been an interesting one. Soon after she joined, Bri began blacking out on patrols. Those around her commented that when she did, she would becoming a fighting machine, single-mindedly taking down the group's targets. With the help of her then boyfriend, Jase, she began looking for answers to why this was happening and who did this to her. It later came to light that both her friend, Diyar, and her on and off beau, Stephen, were experiencing the same blackouts. This led them right back to their old school, Seacliff, and the "history club" they were a part of. Until they can find out what is causing the balckouts, Stephen, Diyar, and Bri, at Sam's insistence, have stopped patrolling. However, she feels that she is close to unraveling the mystery of her missing time.

Instead, Bri has thrown herself into her school life. She is a member of the cheer squad and is currently dating the Flyer's quarterback, Stephen Reed. She even recently won Homecoming Queen, much to her amazement. The joy was brought down a little as her King was Nigel Barlow, the thorn in her side from Seacliff. She has also made close friends with Myshka Romanov, at first to get a rise out of Arkady, but later became very real friends with her. She is also getting closer to Ingrid through the cheer squad.

((I15 Update:

Wow. Been a long time between updates and there's so much to cover. So let's just start near the beginning.

The last year and a half have been a roller coaster ride for Brianna. Near the beginning of last year, Bri and Stephen's relationship ended in a rather publicly explosive display. While taking to some friends at the Snow Ball, she happened to catch her boyfriend making out with her best friend. Once cheater, always a cheater. She slapped Stephen and yelled at Myshka before leaving the dance completely. Stephen transferred out of SJS shortly after that.

In February, Bri went to Boston to testify against JD Langston, the boy she accused of attacking and raping her at Seacliff. The trial was not easy on her and she doesn't speak much about the experience. Luckily throughout the process, she had the support of her parents and her roommate turned confidant, Kara Evans. She even saw Stephen in the courtroom, but did not get a chance to speak to him. However, despite the prosecution's best efforts, JD was found not guilty and walked away free and clear. The news devastated Brianna and she returned to SJS even as she began to draw within her herself. She cut her hair short and stopped wearing make-up or her fancy clothes when she did go out. She went about her days quietly and rarely left her dorm room. It was only with Kara's help that she was able to come out of the tough times.

She quickly stepped up her efforts with the Cheer Squad, even working her way into the position of co-captain. She and Franky still butt heads to this day about how the squad should be performing and run. So far there haven't been any major fireworks, but Franky seems to be the one person who knows how to get under Brianna's skin. It makes for interesting tryouts, practices, and performances.

When Prom rolled around last year, Brianna found herself without a date. And she refused to go stag. After being turned down by a number of guys, which she will never admit to, she took a chance and called a friend of hers from Bloodvine, J Elias Meriwether IV. The idea behind the arrangement was that she and Jem would show up, look to be having the time of their lives and show SJS that Bri could still bag the best of guys. Neither of them really expected to fall for each other. Over the last year, she and Jem have gotten close and she makes trips to the campus of Bloodvine Academy for their social functions, just as Jem comes to Paragon for football games and dances. To watch the two of them, they are truly happy together, despite the long distance and the ghosts of the past for both of them.

That's not to say there have not been some rocky times. Shortly after Homecoming, Brianna and the rest of the Cheer Squad found themselves under a spell of some sort. They just could not seem to get enough of Jacob Carpenter, a boy who had a quiet crush on Bri for a long time, but seemed beneath her notice. The ordeal nearly killed her and Jem's relationship as she actually tried to dump him for Jacob. Thankfully for all involved, Jacob did eventually get the spell reversed with the help of some of the faculty of the school. It's obvious that Bri knows more than she lets on about how the whole fiasco was ended. She still does not speak to Jacob to this day.

This Christmas, Bri and her family went to an old home on the coast with Jem and his family to have a very traditional holiday. It began as one of the best holidays Bri had ever experienced, but the two families were not alone in the home. Two spirits of long dead star-crossed lovers fixated on Bri and Jem, calling to them and showing them things. On Christmas Day Bri found herself out on a frozen pond on the property, feeling like she had been called to that spot. The ice broke and had Jem not pulled her out and began rescue breathing, Bri would not have survived. What happened after that is still foggy for the both of them. Bri remembers walking to the bare holly tree near the pond and finding Jem there. She remembers stopping his hands as the worked a knot into a rope. But she cannot say she was in control of her own body. When asked about her Christmas, Bri makes no mention of the ghostly activities she and Jem experienced.

Bri is now entering her senior year at SJS. She is looking at colleges, mostly with prestigious counseling degree programs. She remains close to her friend Kara Evans, despite the girl having graduated and moved on to college herself. And she is still utterly devoted to Jem, her face still lighting up when she sees him. She has even begun to work past the demons that plagued her and is becoming a better, more well-adjusted girl with each passing day.))
