Diyar got down on the line, waiting for the quarterback to start his play. He looked left.
Damien was huddled down also, but looking right, at Diyar. His hand came up, slashing across his throat, then he nodded. Diyar nodded too, then turned his attention back forward.
Cutthroat, the quarterback dies.
The ball was in motion, and Diyar sprang forward, dodging the wall of muscle and blubber standing between him and his target. Damien got there first, and the slick ball went flying out of the quarterback's hands. Diyar went for it, nabbing it in the air and coming back down to the ground, taking a few steps before looking up.
Nowhere to run...shoot...
"Delavar! Pass it!"
Diyar turned and tossed the ball at Cyrus, who took off down the field, past the rest of the offensive players and right into the endzone. Diyar pumped a fist in the air before going over and smacking Damien on the top of his helmet.

Bri jumped up and down, her fists pumping in the air. They had pulled it off! Stephen had led the Flyers to their first win of the season!
Now for the best part of the football season. The after party. What to wear...

Cyrus spun around spotting Ty across the field. He took off running and picked him up piggy backing him across the field yelling the whole way as Ty laughed. Ty smacked the top of his helmet once and thrust his fist into the air yelling along with him.

Cassandra grinned and huddled closer to her father in the stands, cheering loudly. It was good to see her brother so happy. So... normal. With the uphill battle they were facing this time of year, he needed every moment of normalcy he could get.

Damian picked himself off the ground to Diyar slapping him on the helmet. Damian grabbed Diyar's facemask, bringing it to his as he headbutted him. Then he smiled.
"Way to read there Diyar."
Damian turned around yelling. "Now thats what I'm talking about, Flyers number 1 baby!"

Awww, I knew you guys had it in you!
"Way to go Cyrus! Way to go Ty!" Sam called. "And you!" She turned to face Bryan Baxter. "Awesome catch! And Singleton! You SO plowed that guy right over!"
"Like a Bulldozer!" Hanny said, thumping the former rival on the back.
"Yeah, without any bull!" Lonnie Rayburn added.
GO FLYERS!

Ty grinned and hopped off of Cyrus' back. His adrenaline was pumping now, but he knew that block would catch up with him in the morning. "Helluva run Cy!" He pounded his chest and thrust his helmet to the Flyers crowd as he walked beside the hero of tonights game.

Damian smiled holding his helmet in his hand as he looked to Sam, Hanny, and Lonnie.
"Bulldozer without the bull huh?" "Dozer....Ill take that."
Damian looked at the team. When he first got to St. Joes, he thought he wouldn't make it back to state, but after tonight, after he saw the heart of the team...He knew, this team had the talent and dedication that they needed. Maybe more-so than his old Prescott Panthers.
"Now, thats a game I'm looking forward too." Damian thought out loud.

Elly did a couple cartwheels for the hell of it. She didn't know THAT much about football -- she hadn't even been allowed to the games last year due to the probation -- but she knew when a play was awesome.
Someone hollered "Party at the D!" Good plan.
